Frame powder coated, engine completely rebuilt with new crank seals, new rod, new bearings, new piston and rings, standard bore. Forks rebuilt, new seals, new oil. Brakes rebuilt. The bike has the stock Takasago rims and stock spokes. New cables, new handlebars, new clutch and clutch discs, new rubber, new grips, all bushings and bearing replaced. Transmission rebuilt. New Mikuni carb. New fuel lines. New seat. New levers. New replacement shocks. Lots of money and time was spent in the restoration. New DC Plastics. The bike rides and shifts great!!! 2013 Yamaha YZF-R6 Color and Graphic Options Announced
Thu, 13 Sep 2012Those of you hoping for an updated Yamaha YZF-R6 will have to wait for at least another year, as Yamaha announced the 599cc sportbike is returning for 2013 unchanged except for new colors and graphics. Yamaha last updated the R6 in 2008, equipping it with the company’s Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-T) variable-length intake system. The lack of any significant updates to the 2013 R6 must be disappointing to Yamaha fans, especially as the color updates were announced the same day Kawasaki is expected to reveal a new 636cc ZX-6R.
Yamalube Motor Oil Video is Educational, British, and Brainwashing
Tue, 16 Jun 2009Yamaha Motor Europe have just posted a new video up on Youtube about their Yamalube motor oil and why you should use it on your Yamaha products. They are pretty damn convincing or very good at brainwashing! The video is pretty educational, explaining how motorcycle engines and car engines are very different, what a motorcycle engine really needs, and why Yamalube is very well suited for the job. Various graphs, charts, shots of scientists making oil, and the accented British narrator have further convinced me that I need to get Yamalube and perhaps even be adding it into my morning bowl of cereal.
Yamaha and Star Riding Assc. Set For 5th Annual Feed the Children Food Drop
Fri, 18 Nov 2011Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A., along with the Star Touring and Riding association, join forces for the fifth year to support the charitable organization Feed the Children in a food drop to benefit needy Orange County, Calif., residents. The event takes place today, Friday, November, 18th. More from Yamaha on the food drop: Each year, Yamaha’s employees donate monies on a monthly basis for “Feed The Children blue jean Friday” which raises enough each year to support a tractor trailer semi truck loaded with food and hygiene products for local Orange County residents in need.
