Yamaha FZ description

Yamaha FZ750R Custom Cafe Racer Motorcycle

This bike started out its life in 1985 as one of the most extreme bikes ever to come off the Yamaha production line. The FZ750R was the premier racing bike and for great reason. After meticulous care, re-design and quality part additions this beastly machine before you has come to life. Well maintained during its life and it was used for riding around town, easy 22k miles on it from casual use; never raced on the track.

The engine runs perfect and had the valves checked and adjusted a the beginning of summer.  Carbs were recently rebuilt and fuel gets there with a nice responsive throttle control. Fires right up with little to no choke and it's as smooth as the day it came off the assembly line. Exceptional acceleration off the line, very nimble and as much power as you would ever need.  The headlights, turn signals and all guages work.

The following were completely gone through
  • New fork seals
  • New aftermarket 4-into-1 exhaust pipes
  • Aluminum baffled muffler which is deep and throaty
  • New rear spring for smooth, yet fully controllable feel
  • New brake pads and the calipers work like new
  • 2 new Continental "Conti GO" tires (front and back replaced at same time)
  • Rebuilt master cylinder and clutch slave/master
  • Fuel tank was re-lined
  • Brand new orange tint carbon fiber wind screen and chain guard
  • Heat resistant tape on lower exhaust
Custom touches include: the fiberglass cafe solo seat pan, hand stitched leather seat, rear and front LED brake and turn signal lights. The front fiberglass faring was shaped and cut down for an aggressive street bike appearance: somewhere between a naked bike and track ready rocket. Rear plastic removed to expose the beautiful engine and aggressive lines of the stock tank. The frame and engine were re-painted at an automotive shop, not a cheap DIY job with rattle cans.  The battery was hidden in the rear seat pan for a clean cafe look.

Total custom paint job:  House of Kolors custom paint with cafe race stripes and the #46 (to honor the success of Valentino Rossi).   Wheel rims were sandblasted and painted black.  Bike is in near show-quality condition and performs flawlessly on the street.

Engine: liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder with over 100hp at the rear wheel.
Transmission:six-speed sequential close ratio gearbox. Wet clutch - hydraulically operated. Final drive is by O-ring chain and sprockets.

Clear title in hand, no accidents, 100% ready to ride.

Glen Richards back with Embassy Racing

Wed, 27 Oct 2010

One of the unsung heroes of the BSB paddock over the past few seasons, has to be 2010 Superstock 1000 runner up Glen Richards. A nasty tumble in at the Brands Hatch opener lead to four DNFs, but once back on track he pushed the dominant BMWs hard, finishing on the podium eight times. While many were trading their grannies to fund new S1000RRs, Richards kept the faith and rode the wheels off his Padgett’s Honda Fireblade.

Ryan Villopoto‘s winning streak was snapped, KTM scored its second series win and Cole Seely impressed as an injury replacement for Trey Canard as the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship landed in Atlanta, Ga. Racing for the American Honda Muscle Milk team, Seely nabbed the holeshot and led the opening seven laps before finally being overtaken by Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey. Monster Energy Kawasaki‘s Villopoto had a poor start by his standards, finishing the first lap in sixth place.
