2006 Yamaha Fz6 , I absolutely love this bike, but seeing as I have a child coming in November, I feel it's time to hang my helmet... Features: - custom $800 two brothers racing exhaust - streetfighter-style front - LED headlights - catalyst removed from midpipe (for those of you who don't understand, that means this bike is EXTREMELY LOUD & pops flames out the exhaust when revved up high & while down shifting - backfire) - custom bar-end mirror on left handlebar Dropped once about a year ago with very minor scrapes on right side. I have to point them out if I ever choose to show anyone. Pics below. Asking $4500 obo. I work 9-5 weekdays, but will be available via text at 727-768-3335 any time for any further questions. Tue, 23 Mar 2010THIS GUY'S lucky he doesn't get flicked over the top, after losing the back end of his Yamaha YZF-R1 on a twisty section of mountain road. He looks pretty miffed at the result; we think he got away lightly. It could have been soooo much worse if the rear tyre had gripped and lobbed the rider over the top.
Intermot 2012: Yamaha Unveils Crossplane Triple Concept
Tue, 02 Oct 2012Yamaha announced it is developing a new three-cylinder engine using a crossplane crankshaft inherited from the company’s YZR-M1 MotoGP bike and its YZF-R1 sportbike. Yamaha says the new Triple will play an important role in the company’s future. The Japanese manufacturer unveiled a concept sculpture with the new three-cylinder engine at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany.
2011 Isle of Man TT Recap
Fri, 10 Jun 2011The Isle of Man TT usually provides a lot of drama, and this year’s event was no different. John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.
