2003 Yamaha FZ1.  Highly acclaimed 1st generation FZ1 series.  Great Light Sport Touring Bike or daily commuter and great for touring two up.  Not to heavy and great start up bike for anyone. Comes with many extra's,  Nelson Rigg soft sided panniers, Wolfman Tail Bag, National Cycle custom FZ1 touring wind screen, Frame Sliders, Chin Fairing and kit to add LED white face gauges(LED not installed), New Battery and LED, Skeen Design flashing warning brake lights.  I have had many bikes and this one has by far, been my favorite. It does it all well.  Good Rubber and less than 11,000 original miles.  Oil changed yearly using Amzoil Synthetic Products. Front Fork Seals and fluid replaced least year .In excellent mechanical and physical shape.  Many people ask me if it is new!

2011 Yamaha Vino Classic Recalled for Drum Brake Issue

Yamaha is recalling 2011 Vino Classic scooters because of a problem with its brakes. More specifically, the brake shoe linings may separate from the shoe due to a lack of proper adhesion, reducing brake performance and increasing the risk of a crash. The problem can affect both the front and rear drum brakes.

The penultimate day of Dakar 2014 saw a dramatic change in the overall standings which could make for an exciting final stage tomorrow. Today, however, Yamaha Factory Racing rider Cyril Despres took his second special stage win of 2014 and his 33rd career win for Dakar. Coma, despite taking a 15 minute penalty, finished second for the day, maintaining his overall lead.

Yamaha‘s North American sales were up over the first nine months of 2012, representing the lone bright spot in the company’s third quarter report. North American consumers purchased 51,000 Yamaha motorcycles (including scooters and ATVs), for a 13.3% increase from the 45,000 units sold in the opening nine months of 2011. North American sales translated into 30.7 million yen (US$382 million) in revenue for Yamaha, a 15.0% increase from the first three quarters of 2011.
