No expense was spared to bring this Amazing Motorcycle back to near new condition! See all the SUPER SIZE PICS I have included for your viewing pleasure! The bike was a painstaking restoration which has turned out better that I expected! Custom Original Equipment Yamaha California Orange was prepped and applied by Exclusive Customs of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Their paint work is simply AMAZING! Look up the cools stuff they did with all kinds of high end cars online or on facebook. As the pics show...a host of NOS parts were installed to bring the bike to Showroom Condition. Some of us are old enough to remember how popular these motorcycles were especially for zipping around large college campuses! Serious offers appreciated. Zero feedback bidder are NOT ALLOWED. I am happy to assist with shipping and handling. I will even deliver to you within 250 miles for the cost of fuel ONLY. The only thing left to do on this bike is to set the timing and add gas. The one-0f-a-kind R1 will be on display at the July 27-29 U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca The unique R1 is painted in Yamaha‘s 50th Anniversary colors and features autographs from legends such as Kenny Roberts, Eddie Lawson and Wayne Rainey, as well as current MotoGP racers Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies from the factory Yamaha team and Cal Crutchlow and Andrea Dovizioso from the Tech 3 Yamaha team.

James Toseland Announces Retirement from Racing
Fri, 09 Sep 2011Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.
