This stamp is from a Major League Baseball licensed set apparently released in 1989. There are 27 in the issue, originally on 3 sheets of 9 stamps each.

One sheet, titled "1988 Award Winners" has the 1988 MVPs, Cy Youngs and Rookies of the Year as well as earlier Award Winners -- Ted Williams "MVP 1946 & 1948", Willie Mays "ROY 1951" and Gaylord Perry "Cy Young 1972 & 1978".

On the other two sheets each stamp has the designation "Rookie 1989" for 14 current rookies such as Ken Griffey Jr, Randy Johnson and Gary Sheffield. Also included are 4 HOFers -- Babe Ruth "Rookie 1915", Carl Yastrzemski "Rookie 1961", Gaylord Perry "Rookie 1963" and Johnny Bench, "Rookie 1968".

Some later St Vincent stamp sets are listed in the Beckett guides but this series has not yet been included.
