Victory Victory description

2012 VICTORY Victory High-Ball, Stripped down. Bare bones. A bold throwback. The all-new Victory High-Ball rumbles down the road in the spirit of the classic bobber with an outright refusal to sacrifice performance along the way. Built piece by piece around the road-pounding 106 Freedom V-Twin, it???s a ride with all the power and agility you???d expect from a Victory. If you???re a pure rider with a passion for old-school styling, this is the bike you fire up for the first time and never look back.???Ape-Hanger Handlebars: Make a statement with two fists in the air. These blacked-out Apes give this bike its signature profile, and you can pull ???em down low for a more relaxed but no less intimidating riding position.???Short Front Fender: Less is more. This shorty front fender offers protection from whatever the road throws your way without taking away from the ???bare necessities??? spirit of the bobber style.???16-Inch Lace Wheels with White Sidewalls: Wide 16-inch wheels, featuring an old-school lace design with white sidewalls, are a throwback to a classic style and help give our bike a custom feel right out of the box. Wherever you want to go from here, these wheels will take you.???Blacked-Out 106 Freedom V-Twin: Cruising down the road with all the signature performance of a Victory, this powerful machine features a blacked-out version of our road-pounding Freedom 106 V-Twin, kicking out an incredible 97 horsepower and 113 foot-pounds of torque.???Blacked-Out Exhaust Pipes: No chrome here. From head to tail, we cloaked the High-Ball in black for the riders who would rather prowl the streets with more soul than flash.???Two-Tone Tank with New Victory Logo: The matte-black and white color scheme on the tank tie it in with the rest of the bike. Then we ditched the usual badge in favor of a specially designed, painted-on logo that gives this bike a true custom look.

Polaris Reports Q1 2012 Results

Wed, 18 Apr 2012

Polaris Industries reported a 44% increase in on-road vehicle sales revenue and a 40% increase in North American Victory Motorcycle unit sales over the first quarter of 2012. According to Polaris’ first quarter report, its on-road vehicle division (which consists of the Victory and Indian motorcycle brands as well as electric vehicle brands GEM and Goupil) generated $64.7 million in sales revenue, compared to $44.9 million reported in the same quarter of 2011. Of course, the Polaris didn’t yet own Indian, GEM or Goupil during that quarter last year, so the figures are a bit misleading.

Results of FIM e-Power/TTXGP Race at Oschersleben

Mon, 13 Aug 2012

Team Zongshen rider Yu Tang came through in a surprise win in Sunday’s FIM e-Power International Championship event at Oschersleben. After teammate Ho Chi Fung’s respectable third place in Saturday’s three-lap sprint, Tang found himself on the highest step of the podium after favorites, and Munch Racing teammates, Matthias Himmelmann and Katja Poensgen experienced mechanical trouble. The Zongshen rider took the chequered flag at the end of the ten-lap race ahead of Udo Reichmann (Reichmann Racing-Mavizen) and Christian Amendt (epo-Bike).  The early part of the race saw Matthias Himmelmann in front as expected, as he set a blisteringly fast lap of 1’37.771 in warm-up.

KTM‘s Ken Roczen continues to impress, taking his second AMA Supercross win of his 450-class rookie season at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Roczen, who also won the season opening Anaheim 1 round, took advantage of a mistake by Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto to take the win and move within nine points of the defending champion in the rider standings. The main event started with Smartop Motoconcepts Suzuki rider Mike Alessi taking the holeshot for his best start this season.
