Let the adventure begin. Built to take the worst you can throw at it, the Tiger 800 XC has been fully equipped to handle autobahns and green lanes with equal aplomb. The 800cc three-cylinder engine sets new standards in the adventure bike class, smoothly delivering plentiful torque at low revs for accurate off-road riding and combining it with more than adequate top end power for relaxed high-speed cruising. With its rugged steel frame and long travel suspension the Tiger 800 XC has been designed for the rough stuff, with a host of optional accessories available for riders planning to spend more time off the pavement than on it. The high specification includes a factory-fitted immobilizer, adjustable 45mm upside down front forks, adjustable rider seat and hand guards. Adjustable tapered aluminum handlebars add a touch of class and off-road durability to the Tiger 800 XC, while the optional anti-lock braking system can be switched off for off-road riding. Enigma 1050 is a new, all-British motorbike based around a Triumph 1050 Speed Triple engine. It's being put together by a small team of people headed by former MCN editor and lifelong fan of British engineering, Jim Lindsay. "The driving force behind the project," says Lindsay, "Is to showcase some of the amazing expertise that exists in the British motorcycle industry." Enigma is being designed as a sharp-handling road bike with all-day comfort as one of the key goals.

Sulfur Yellow Triumph Daytona 675 Highlights New 2012 Colors

Triumph announced a number of new paint schemes for several of its models. While the new options are for the most part merely cosmetic, the lone exception is the new sulfur yellow 2012 Triumph Daytona 675. We’re not quite sure it’s good marketing for a color scheme that reminds you of the smell of rotten eggs, but the sulfur yellow Daytona 675 also sports a number of upgrades.

Triumph Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE Recalled for Throttle Position Sensor Error

Triumph is recalling a combined total of 2,800 units of the Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE due to a problem with the electronic control unit detecting the throttle position. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the ECU’s detection threshold is set too tightly and it lacked proper signal filtering, causing it to prematurely detecting a deviation in the throttle butterfly position. The ECU would then activate the ride-by-wire system’s safety shutdown, closing the throttle butterly valve and cutting the fuel and ignition.
