Tiger 800 comes highly-specified as standard. Take a look and you’ll find neat touches all around. Two-piece adjustable seat, suspension and levers combine with hand guards to ensure your comfort, while a built in immobilizer and switchable ABS option are designed with you and the bike’s safety and security in mind.

Practicality is key with the Tiger 800. Superb agility comes as standard thanks to wide, tapered aluminum bars and lightweight cast wheels (19” front and 17” rear). A well appointed rear rack doubles up as a passenger grab rail while up front the comprehensive instrumentation gives you all the vital information you need to know on your journey.

The Tiger 800 also comes with high capacity generator to allow the fitment of multiple electrical accessories for even greater practicality. Over 60 bespoke accessories have been developed for the Tiger 800 series, including rugged hard and soft luggage solutions, heated grips and tire pressure monitoring sensors.

Jeremy Toye Wins 92nd Running Of Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

On his first attempt at the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, road racer Jeremy Toye set a record in the premiere Open Class to win the category aboard a 2015 Kawasaki ZX-10R, celebrating the 30th year of the legendary Ninja brand. Prior to setting foot on the hill, Toye was confident he could get among the class leaders, aiming to beat the outright Pikes Peak motorcycle record, which was set by Carlin Dunne in 2012 with a time of 9:52.819. While that record remains intact, Toye was able to set a time of 9:58.687 to win the Open Class, finishing 6sec ahead of his closest rival, Fabrice Lambert aboard a Ducati.

With the full factory fitted arrow system and map fitted it was time to give the Speed a run on a Dyno to see where the power is at. Over two runs the best results were as follows; Power at the crank : 130bhp & 75 ft.lbs torque Power at the gearbox : 124bhp & 72 ft.lbs torque Power at the wheel : 119bhp & 69 ft.lbs torque The bike has covered 4200 miles and is due its first proper service at 6000 so you would expect to see a reduction in power. Triumph claim on a brand new bike the Speed Triple at best puts out 135bhp and 82 ft.lbs torque at the crank with the cans fitted, effectively mine has lost 5bhp and 7ft.lbs of torque.

SAM Christmas has been a professional photographer for the last 3 years and is the man behind Natural Habitats, a collection of photos covering the growing UK custom scene, showing bikes and their builders at home.    Sam's clients include the likes of Honda, Dainese, Google, Polo Jeans and Edwin denim but Natural Habitats is a personal project that took one and a half years to complete. I got to meet Sam when the exhibition opened in Shoreditch on Thursday evening.
