Triumph Tiger description

2011 Triumph Tiger 800 XC ABS - INTENSE ORANGE, Beautiful Intense Orange 2011 Triumph Tiger 800 XC. First off, let me say I love this bike. It is a sad day putting it up for sale. It has served me extremely well, from LBL overnight trips to riding the Blueridge Parkway and over the Appalachian Mountains on backwoods trails, to comfortably riding the highway for hours on end. I am selling because I am planning a TransAmerica Trail trip and want to downsize to a 400 or 450. I think the Tiger could handle the TAT just fine, but I want something lighter (easier to pickup). Add some luggage and you could ride this bike to Tierra del Fuego tomorrow! It is adventure ready with an impressive list of accessories. See below. Genuine Triumph parts: Arrow exhaust, Headlight guard, tall windscreen, engine crash bars, skid plate, additional lighting, center stand, city tank bag Aftermarket parts: Barkbusters Storm handguards, ROX handlebar risers, Touratech crash bars Self mods: Lowered about 2" with Lust Racing lowering links. I customized the seat, shaved the foam down and added tempurpedic, lowering the seat a little. I'm 5'6", with these changes I can put both feet down on toes, or one foot down flat. I have the original links and it would be easy to raise it back up. I added an ABS cutoff toggle switch because the dash menu system is a little annoying and I wanted to be able to turn the ABS off and leave it off, not have to turn it off again every time I start the bike. I painted the passenger muffler guard black because it looks better that way. Known problems: None! :) Also, tires are Heidenau K60 Scout front and rear, both with about 3,500 miles on them and still looking good. If you don't know about Heidenau, it is a 50/50 tire that has amazing tread life. Also included is a full service manual. Please call, text, or email. My name is Pete. 334-464-zero seven three eight $10,500.00 3344640738

Big magnetic bags

Wed, 23 Mar 2011

Gone are the days of tank bags held down with flapping Velcro straps and frayed bungee ropes. This is Triumph’s official expandable 30ltr tank bag. It’s designed specifically to fit the 2011 Speed Triple and attaches by a simple strong integrated magnetic base.

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.

Glen Richards back with Embassy Racing

Wed, 27 Oct 2010

One of the unsung heroes of the BSB paddock over the past few seasons, has to be 2010 Superstock 1000 runner up Glen Richards. A nasty tumble in at the Brands Hatch opener lead to four DNFs, but once back on track he pushed the dominant BMWs hard, finishing on the podium eight times. While many were trading their grannies to fund new S1000RRs, Richards kept the faith and rode the wheels off his Padgett’s Honda Fireblade.
