Triumph Thunderbird description

You are reviewing a 2010 Blue and White Triumph Thunderbird 1600 with antilock brakes(ABS) in very good condition. On the minus side, there is a dent on the right underside of the tank under the emblem. Take a look at the full right side of the bike, and you can see that on the whole, it's a minor distraction. The tank has a small scratch on the right top side. Both are shown in pictures. The cool auxiliary brake light is currently wired as a running light only. Now the positives: This model was the motorcycle cruiser of the year in 2010. Extras include windshield mounting brackets (never installed), a Triumph backrest with luggage rack and two keyed helmet locks; Kuryakyn fold out rider pegs; auxiliary front running lights; LED engine lights; the stock rider and passenger saddles, an additional Saddlemen studded rider saddle; and an accessory power outlet.  There is a tool bag over the front running lights. There is also a lot of extra chrome, including the radiator cover, front brake caliper covers, brake fluid reservoir cover, and drive belt cover. The battery is about one year old. The bike cranks immediately, and rides and handles as designed.  The bike has been a garage queen since I bought it here on Ebay.   I just don't have the the time to dedicate to riding.  I have the clear title in hand, and will use expedited shipping to your desired location upon full payment receipt. I have represented this fine machine as honestly as I can, and have priced the reserve significantly below book for a quick sale. Please ask any and all questions before bidding.

Buyer is responsible for any motorcycle shipping costs.  Full payment is due immediately upon sale.

Check my feedback, and bid with confidence. Thanks for looking, and rubber side down ;)

Gladstone Motorcycles to Produce Bespoke British Bobbers

Tue, 16 Jul 2013

Television presenter Henry Cole has ridden countless motorcycles as host of the British Travel Channel’s “World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides” program for 11 series, but he’ll soon be introducing a line of motorcycles of his own with his new Gladstone Motorcycles company. Named for Cole’s great-great-uncle, four-time British Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone, the new firm will produce limited runs of hand-built bespoke motorcycles. The company’s first model will be the Gladstone No.

50th Anniversary Of The Great Escape To Be Celebrated With Electric Motorcycle

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

July 4th marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Steve McQueen film, “The Great Escape,” and to commemorate the golden anniversary of McQueen’s escape attempt from German forces during WWII, McQueen Motorcycle will unveil a special electric motorcycle, the Xscape. The Xscape is scheduled to be McQueen Motorcycle’s first production motorcycle, with cues to incorporate today’s technology and integrate “the history and design of tradition.” Details are scarce at this point, but considering McQueen rode a Triumph TR6 Trophy in the scene, it would be reasonable to expect similar styling. In fact, looking closely at the photo above will reveal wire wheels, most likely a nod to the vintage Triumph.
