Triumph TR6 SR description
1964 Triumph TR6 SR. (Sport Road Model) Purchased as a complete bike by owner with matching numbers (frame, engine & engine cases) One of many British bikes completely restored from the ground up by the owner. Correct color (scarlet over silver) Paint supplied by Don Hutchinson and applied by Dennis Massey, a well known master painter in the area. Complete engine and transmission overhaul by Mickey Peters, a very well known British bike mechanic. New lower end bearings. New rod bearings. Rods checked to be true. Oil pump checked. Complete top end including bore pistons, rings, piston pins and valves. New bearings in the transmission along with new clutch, primary chain and stator. All of the original hardware was used where possible but re-plated. Otherwise new was used. All of the sheet metal that came with the bike appeared original and was used. All new wiring. New tires and tubes. Stainless, polished spokes installed by Buchannan's Spoke and Rim Company along with the original re-chromed Dunlop rims. New secondary chain. Gauges restored by Smiths. This bike has been ridden approximately three miles since restoration and not broken in. |

2014 Triumph Thunderbird Commander, Thunderbird LT Models Outted in CARB Documents
Tue, 15 Oct 2013An executive order released by the California Air Resources Board reveals two new additions to the Triumph Thunderbird cruiser lineup. Joining the base Thunderbird and the Thunderbird Storm (both of which have already received CARB certification for 2014) are two new versions, the Thunderbird LT and the Thunderbird Commander. According to the executive order, both new T-birds will be powered by a 1700cc engine designated as the ETDXC1.70KMM, the same engine family designation assigned to the parallel-twin engine powering the Thunderbird Storm.
