Triumph Sprint description
As a lifelong sports bike owner I bought this bike because it offers the best of both worlds. I lived in Houston when I bought this bike and it was a 200 mile ride to get to any roads that were worth riding on! So I figured that at my advanced age a sport touring bike made sense. After a brief and disappointing experience with a BMW K1200LT I settled on this beautiful Triumph Spring GT. With the panniers on it makes a great tourer and with them off it is basically a sports bike capable of hanging with the big boys! Previously I had 2 Triumph Speed Triples and I love that this bike has the same engine, arguably the best motorcycle engine ever made with mountains of torque and an top end - smooth, fast and powerful. Since then my circumstances have changed and I have moved to Reno where I have the roads I was seeking on my doorstep - so the Triumph has sadly been replaced by a Ducati - which is awesome by the way! The bike has 5500 miles on it - I rode it from Daytona Beach FL to Houston when I bought it and it has been to Laguna Seca since then (guess why) Other than that it has only done local rides. The bike has never seen a drop of rain and has been kept in a garage on a battery tender and under a cover. This bike has all of the Triumph upgrades - raised screen, heated grips and Triumph tank protector. I also have a tail pack (pictured) and a magnetic tank bag which is about as much use on the Ducati at a Chocolate Tea-Pot since it has a plastic tank - I will throw these into the deal. The bike itself is as new - there is a small scratch on one of the passenger grab-rails where another bike fell on it at the dealership and the panniers (which can be lifted off like suitcases) have a couple of boot scuff marks that could be buffed out and one blemish caused by the movers that brought the bike to Reno (I know I should have ridden it but I didn't have time!) Other than that this is clean honest and very capable motorcycle that will make you grin from ear to ear. Look at my profile and bid with confidence. Any inspection or test ride welcome.
