The result is a tough looking motorcycle with slash-cut pipes, blacked out engine casings and black cast wheels with machined rims. The Speedmaster celebrates the performance of its air-cooled 865 cubic centimeter parallel twin, 270-degree crank engine in a unique 60’s hot rod style. A tank mounted tacho, braided hoses, twin front discs and flat bars confirm this motorcycle goes as well as it looks. McQueen’s Husky on the Auction Block

One of his preferred brands was Husqvarna (another, seen here, was Triumph) and to the delight of motorcycle enthusiasts and McQueen fans alike, one of his bikes will soon be in the hands of a new owner. This 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross owned and ridden by Steve McQueen will be up for auction on January 10th, at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, by Bonhams. The motorcycle comes with an exhaustive quantity of documents supporting its provenance and authenticity.

Recall for 2011-2012 Triumph Sprint GT, Tiger 800, Tiger 800XC Optional Top Box
Thu, 11 Aug 2011Triumph issued a recall for optional accessory top boxes for the 2011-2012 Sprint GT sport tourer and the Tiger 800 and 800XC dual sports. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the top box locking handle is missing a clip lip to ensure a proper lock on the rear rack. Without this clip, the locking mechanism may not be secure, potentially leading to the top box falling off of the motorcycle.
