Triumph Other tech info
Triumph Other description
Up for sale is a Triumph bobber. It has a 1967 650cc engine in a 1970 bolt on hard tail frame. It runs and shifts well and has a very responsive throttle for an old triumph. Sounds great! And pretty comfortable ride for a hard tail. Frame paint is ok, has normal chips/scratches for the age. The mileage is unknown because of the lack of a speedo, however the hub gear is still in place if you wanted to add one. Brakes work fine and are both drum style. It has a Joe Hunt magneto so it has no points to have to adjust. Equipped with a Mity Max battery eliminator and keyed switch to operate lights. Has a clean title in my name and is titled to the engine. Not a matching number bike because of the different years. It leaks a small amount of oil when the engine is hot, would need maybe an engine gasket?? . It is a right side shift and kickstart only. There is a small paint bubble on the lower left side of tank (seen in picture). Tank has been sealed. Has Continental tires that are in good shape. The rims do have some pitting on them. The bike does go down the road but you may want to give it a good once over or have a mechanic check it over before putting any serious miles on it, I have not put a lot of miles on it. Here is a list of parts I replaced and a list of things not mentioned already that I feel should be added (I'm not a mechanic FYI) No reserve. Feel free to ask any questions, try my best to answer.
- new petcocks -new gear box gasket - new milled aluminum fork ends - new air filter - replaced kick start gear and spring Adjust or replace: - horn don't work - mirror(s) - brake light switch works when it feels like it (important) - rear axle stops in front of axle - one exhaust pipe has a small dent under the pipe wrap (optional) - mufflers (optional) - choke (optional) starts fine without it - speedo (optional) - front wheel balanced, spokes adjusted. - battery (optional) Buyer is responsible for all shipping cost, I will help/assist your shipper load the bike if need be. |
