Triumph Daytona description
2003 Triumph Daytona 955i with a little over flawless 13200 miles.
This is a short auction ... I will not be re-listing this deal! Very motivated to sell my 2003 Triumph Daytona 955i project bike. Just need cash for a down payment on a new bike. The project has been mostly cosmetic - it is 95% complete in the conversion to "naked" which included a new Speed Triple radiator with a Cox Racing grille and a seamless conversion of the headlights using OEM support components combined with quality headlight units. The good things: The engine runs better than any other bike I've owned! Billet racing upper fork yoke installed. Quick turn throttle and shorty hand levers. New Speed triple headlight support assembly combined with quality headlight units. New Speed Triple radiator, radiator cowls and Cox racing radiator and oil cooler grilles. The electronics have been adequately upgraded to remedy charging and starting problems very common with this model. The rear tire has under 1000 miles on it. The front might be original, but has plenty of tread. The rear seat cowl is made by Sharkskinz. A CompetitionWerks indicator lights and fender eliminator is installed in the rear. Matching indicator lights are up front. Two Brothers slip-on exhaust. Frame sliders installed up front. Relatively new DID drive chain. The issues: The front brake calipers need rebuilding (which I have the parts for but don't have time to deal with). Front and rear rotors are fine. The fuel tank is badly painted. I am including a replacement tank with stock paint and decal. Needs a pair of bar end mirrors. Buyer is to arrange pickup. I will drive the vehicle up to 50 miles to meet the buyer for pick up once paid in full. More photos available to serious inquirers. Buy in now for $1,655. This photo was taken prior to the switch to Speed triple headlights |

Triumph Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE Recalled for Throttle Position Sensor Error
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Triumph is recalling a combined total of 2,800 units of the Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE due to a problem with the electronic control unit detecting the throttle position. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the ECU’s detection threshold is set too tightly and it lacked proper signal filtering, causing it to prematurely detecting a deviation in the throttle butterfly position. The ECU would then activate the ride-by-wire system’s safety shutdown, closing the throttle butterly valve and cutting the fuel and ignition.
How well does a Triumph Tiger 800 crash?
Mon, 08 Nov 2010I've just come back to the hotel after our first day riding the Tiger 800 with the other Brit journos. One of the journos (who shall remain nameless, but alas, it wasn't me) crashed at low speed. Pictured here is his bike.
Vintage Bike Stash Found in Ohio
Mon, 05 Mar 2012Brim’s Imports is a vintage motorcycle shop disguised as a used car dealership, and chances are you’ve never heard of the place or its proprietor, Tom Brim. If you’re in the market for a rare vintage motorcycle, however, it may behoove you to give Tom or his brother, Ralph, an old fashion phone call. A website does exist, brimsimport.com, but its for searching the inventory of late model car and truck parts — the cash flow supporting Tom’s motorcycle obsession.
