bike is mechanically sound, there are some very light scratches on the gas tank that can be buffed out, appears to be a little bit of corrosion on the aluminum on the top of the forks, the chorm is pealing on the back foot rests, broken reflector on right fork, few tine holes at front of seat, has new battery,very small amount of corrosion around the ring of the head light and speed odometer housing, the backs of the mirrors have scratches as shown in pictures, missing left side cover plate. I’ve finally removed my gaffa tapped heated jacket controls from the tank, and fitted a pair of Bridgestones sticky but durable BT-16’s. Last week a huge box full of R&G crash protection stuff arrived so that will be fitted at the weekend for peace of mind, just as well really because the Triumph now feels like a finely tuned scratcher thanks to a recent new discovery.

Tue, 30 Sep 2014The past two weekends have produced more than three inches of rain and sad news for Bonneville land speed racing fans.Triumph has released it official statement regarding the announcement by Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout that the course will not be ready for its Triumph Castrol Rocket streamliner and others to make a 2014 FIM legal attempt at 400mph. This is not what you want to see the week before racing on the Bonneville Salt Flats.
