Triumph Bonneville description

Complete re-build over the last 12 months with matching numbers and clear title. Forks stripped and new seals fitted, all nuts/bolts/washers replaced with SS. Crankshaft dynamically balanced to 74%, new main bearings and big end shells. Gearbox stripped, cleaned and re-built with new main shaft bearing and seals. Boyer electronic ignition and rectifier. The only modifications from original are the electronic ignition and rectifier, halogen headlight and an external cartridge type oil filter purchased from the U.K., all of which are an improvement over the original equipment without compromising the bikes originality. Since the rebuild I have ridden the bike 428 miles and it starts and runs better than any other British bike I have owned so I am a little reluctant to sell it but if you are genuinely interested in this classic machine.

The future. But we can't have it

Thu, 10 Nov 2011

It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.

Triumph Street Triple Used to Test Rocket Components – Video

Fri, 04 May 2012

California-based aerospace company XCOR is using a Triumph Street Triple to test rocket components for a suborbital spacecraft. Of course, what immediately comes to mind is a giant rocket strapped on to the Triumph, but the truth is much less dramatic, yet still fascinating. XCOR is using the Street Triple for endurance testing of bearings components for the rocket propellant piston pump of the Lynx suborbital spacecraft.
