1971 Triumph Bonneville T120 R match engine . I took this bike in partial trade on a 1951 Chevy pickup that I had. the guy I got it from said it's been sitting in his garage for a few years and it was rebuilt before he got it. I did put some fresh gas in it kicked it about 8 times and it started right up .I had to hold the choke on a little bit for it to stay running so I'm sure the carburetors need to be cleaned up .engine sounded real good cool bike tires are all good bike really needs a good cleaning and detail. Maybe a nice paint job. Mileage shows 2800 miles I can not verify that so I'll sell it as tmu this bike also will be sold with a previous Connecticut registration because Connecticut does not issue titles on Vintage vehicles I had to Mark clean title for eBay because that's the only option that I could mark any questions please call or text 203-910-3018 Thanks . Triumph’s 500,000th Production Motorcycle Headed to Auction on July 1st
Thu, 16 Jun 2011It was less than a month ago that Triumph’s 500,000th production motorcycle, a special Speed Triple with commemorative paint job, rolled off the line. World-famous auction house, Bonhams, has recently announced that it will put the special Trumpet on the auction block on July 1, 2011, during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Comedian Ross Noble has completed his Sit Down Tour of Great Britain with the milestone Triumph, and now the bike is ready to raise money for Riders for Health charity.
Speed Triple exhausts
Mon, 19 Apr 2010The Speed Triple sounds quite throaty with the standard pipes, on the overrun it pops and farts to its heart content but it could be louder. Also standard pipes are usually quite heavy, on the Triple they weigh 9.3kg!!! Triumphs preferred exhaust manufacture is Arrow and they offer side and under seat options as official Triumph accessories.
