Triumph Bonneville description

Hello! I have for sale my 1968 Triumph TR6R chopper. This is a one of a kind bike, starting with the one-off, custom made, fully molded Factory Metalworks frame, 21/16 chrome/stainless wheels with brand new Avon Speedmaster/MKII combo. Everything has been re-chromed, or re-painted, and nothing on this bike has ever seen the road. This bike features a fully chromed front end, rebuilt Joe Hunt mag, wassell smooth rear fender, newly upholstered leather pleated Italian seat, Flanders bars, custom built and routed horseshoe oil tank, Podtronix reg/rec/cap located in oil tank battery box, and Lowbrow chromed drags among other details. Engine has been correctly rebuilt but never started or even broken in, and just needs a some simple things to complete such as carb, brake rod, right side peg stop, and a few exterior nuts and bolts. Parts not in pic but included are new drive chain, new oil feed lines, polished left side inspection cover. Bike is 95% finished, all the hard stuff has been done the right way including internal wiring, just a few minor things to get this beauty on the road! Paint color is 1969 Mercury Silver Jade Green metallic, and is absolutely stunning! Pics don't do this bike justice at all! Located in Boise, ID but I'm willing to ship If you pay and set it up. I have had the numbers ran in all states, and the frame has been assigned a title. I'm asking $7700 for the bike, but don't be afraid to make an offer!!! Buyer will have to pay and arrange for shipping. Please be aware that I'm not entertaining trades, as unfortunately this bike must go. Message me for more details, pics, or with any questions. Thanks!

Keep in mind, this bike is sold as-is, with no returns. Bill of sale will be included.

Another bikes vs. car drift battle

Fri, 13 Jan 2012

Icon have just released a sequel to last year's popular drift video that featured Nick Brocha on a stretched ZX10 racing alongside a Corvette-Powered RX7.  Upping the stakes this time, Brocha is joined by Ernie Vigil, both onboard Triumph Speed Triples that have been built for the sole purpose of moving forward, but sideways. Taking up the rear is a supercharged 550hp Ford Mustang Cobra, quite apt really seeing how the film ends. Like the recent Jorian Ponomareff 'Drift Gymkhana', its great to see another video that does justice to the talent on show.

Tue, 13 Nov 2012

Today at EICMA 2012, Triumph has taken the wraps off the hotly anticipated Daytona 675 and 675R. We first broke the news of a new Daytona last month, but details were still largely unknown at the time. As we expected from the fresh, updated look of the 2013 model, the 675’s updates are more than just skin deep.

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
