Triumph Bonneville description

I have a 1965 Triumph Bonneville T120SR, yes SR; which are rare. It has been in the family for 49 years. People say Triumph didn't make an SR but here we are. Again, very rare I'm told. Check the web for T120SR and you will get all kinds of stories. It has been completely stripped to the frame, engine rebuilt, (all the numbers match) and put back together in great running order (see the YouTube link below or go to 43alaskaman on YouTube). I did not have it restored to new condition; this is the way it has looked since my dad bought it in 1967. I grew up with it this way and wanted to keep it like this, with character. The clutch has started slipping, it leaks like a triumph, and it draws attention wherever I ride it. New battery New Tires (I do have the originals) Starts on the first or second kick. The tac doesn't work For more information, see my YouTube page below Here's my YouTube page describing it. https://youtu.be/0jU9sm26z7I

Riding in groups

Mon, 19 Apr 2010

Saturday morning was a stonker wasn’t it? A group of us ranging from neighbours, brothers, mates and girlfriends got up and headed down to the coast for a spot of bacon and eggs. We had a real diverse selection or bikes actually with a GSX1400, XJR1300, Triumph Speedmaster, MT01, A Yamaha R1 and my Triumph Speed Triple.

2012 Triumph Daytona 675, 675R Recalled in Canada for Missing Throttle Cable Guide

Tue, 21 May 2013

Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2012 Triumph Daytona 675 and 675R because certain units may be missing a throttle cable guide. Without the guide, the throttle cable may get stuck in the steering stop, preventing the throttle from opening or closing properly. Such a situation could result in a loss of propulsion or, if the throttle is stuck open, could make it difficult to slow or stop the motorcycle.
