Suzuki SV tech info
Suzuki SV description
This is a great 2002 Suzuki SV650S. Mechanic owned up until March. I
bought it at that point. Has been stored in a garage since then. Low
miles, high performing.
The pros.
-Two Brothers Aftermarket Exhaust
-Aftermarket Seat (incredibly comfortable)
-GSXR Suspension
-Brand New Racing Brakes (Just installed, less than 30 miles on them!)
-Brand New Battery (Installed last October 6th)
-Oil Change less than 100 miles ago!
The Cons
-The bike ran great until the cold weather kicked in. I'm not
mechanically inclined but I noticed the performance fading the colder it
gets. When not reving, from time to time, it turns off. The engine doesn't sound as loud as it was when I bought it. This is started happening about a week ago when the nights got colder (my garage isn't heated). I coudn't tell ya what the problem is, if it is an easy fix or not, or if it is just a reaction to the cold weather.
- I don't have the side farings. I've considered buying them, they are going for $100 on ebay. I like the naked look of the bike so I never bothered to buy them.
I have weighted out the pros and cons of holding on to this bike and selling it. What it comes down to is a year ago I would have held on to this bike over the winter and see if the issues continue in warmer weather. However, I don't get to ride nearly as much as I would like to/ used to. If I do get another bike it won't be a crotch rocket. This bike is being sold "as is" because I have no idea whats going on with it and a little extra money would go a long way come ski season. Feel free to message me with any questions, I will be happy to exchange numbers to go over the bike via phone with you. All sales will stay on ebay for yours and my sake.

Dropped Suzuki Dealerships Represented Only 2.5% of Retail Sales
Fri, 22 Mar 2013American Suzuki raised some eyebrows after news broke yesterday the company was cancelling franchise agreements with numerous dealerships in the U.S. The company was already under close scrutiny after making the bold decision to quit selling cars to focus on powersports when it filed for Chapter 11 in November. Reducing its dealer network appears to go against that idea, at least on the surface.
Suzuki Reports Q3 2013-2014 Sales Results
Fri, 07 Feb 2014Suzuki reported a 13.1% decrease in motorcycle sales volume over the first three quarters of its 2013-2014 fiscal year, but still managed a 17.8% increase in net sales from its motorcycle division. That may seem like a paradox, but the results can be explained by a more favorable exchange rate for the Japanese yen and by looking closer at where those sales decreases took place. The yen has turned around significantly over the last year and a half, vastly improving how foreign sales affect Suzuki’s bottom line.
Hopkins to Sit Out 2013 Racing Season to Recover from Injuries
Tue, 09 Oct 2012American John Hopkins announced he is taking a sabbatical from racing for 2013 to recover from a number of significant injuries. Hopkins’ once very promising racing career has been hampered by both a series of bad luck and injury. It seems so long ago that Hopkins finished fourth overall in the 2007 MotoGP Championship with Suzuki.
