One of a kind custom cafe racer. "The Black Widow" based on a low mileage (12,302) Suzuki GS 550. Runs and drives good. Jetted and tuned perfectly for straight through mufflers and pod filters. Pulls well all the way to the 9500 RPM redline. Both starters work. The charging system works. No leaks. Here are a a few of the modifications and new parts installed: Smoothed fuel tank with perfectly clean, rust free interior, with custom black paint sporting a red hourglass. Genuine black leather seat with spider web stitching 100 LED tail/stop/ turn light in spider pattern New Emgo fairing with smoked Plexiglas wind screenRebuilt Carburetors and petcock New wheel bearings and seals front and back New steering stem bearings and seals New fork seals New tires with less than 200mis, Matching Pirrelli brand New battery New headlamp New clutch and springs New cables, speedometer, tachometer, clutch Front caliper rebuilt New stainless braided brake lines New drive chain New engine seals mounted when side covers were off for polishing Installed all stainless cap head socket screws on side covers, controls, etc. (no more fighting with rusted Phillips heads) New handlebars. The cylinder head nuts are somewhat rusty. 1 of the LED in the Stop light needs replacing, but I have some of those and will furnish. Actuating the front brake does not actuate the brake light. The rear does. Ebay requires some sort of title listing. This bike does not have a title, nor is 1 required in Georgia. It was registered and tagged by me within the last two months, and a copy of registration along with a notarized bill of sale will be provided. Why I love BSB's Showdown
Thu, 26 Sep 2013It has lovers, haters and even many that still don't understand it but everyone in British bike racing is currently talking about the BSB Showdown. With my rider's or team manager's hat on, I wasn't convinced when it was first announced in 2010 but I'm now totally converted and enjoy every part of the season as intensity increases. And being a value for money Scot the best thing is you get four championships under one umbrella. Championship # 1; In the early rounds everyone on the grid has aspirations of taking the title but as the season progresses, the focus narrows down to making sure you secure that top six showdown spot over the first nineteen races (riders can also drop their worst two results). Championship #2; For the confident front runners, over these races, the real goal is the podium credit championship (3 for 1st ,2 for 2nd,1 for 3rd) which then gives them a points head start after things are put back to zero for the final seven race shoot-out. Championship #3; The best of the rest championship (7th and below) that will be battled over the final races. Championship # 4; Over the final seven races the British Superbike Champion is crowned. The recent adding and reshuffling a few top name riders for the Showdown has already spiced things up so hold on tight for the remaining five races!
2012 Suzuki GSX-R1000 – Gixxer Thou Updated with a Focus on Weight Savings
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Suzuki has updated its GSX-R1000 sportbike for 2012 with Brembo monobloc calipers and a new single-pipe exhaust system. Last updated in 2009, the 2012 Suzuki GSX-R1000 also receives a number of updates to the the engine to the wiring harness to even the front tire to to reduce overall weight by 4.4 pounds. The new GSX-R has a claimed curb weight of 447.5 pounds.
Suzuki Prepares For Season Finale LeMans 24hr Endurance Race

The defending champions haven’t scored a single victory this year, but are hoping its fortunes turn for them during this weekend’s season finale: the grueling 24 hours of LeMans. Yes, motorcycles participate in this classic race, but the course configuration is entirely different from what the car guys use.
