2012 Suzuki V-Strom 1000, Any questions call and ask for Ellis 6029928620The V-Strom 1000, which is part of the Sport Enduro Touring category Suzuki nicknamed with the original V-Strom DL1000 in 2002, was designed to provide the rider a machine capable of taking on everything from the street to some off-road Adventure riding The 2012 V-Strom 1000 features a fuel-injected, 90-degree V-Twin that s tuned for low- and mid-range torque. The engine is hooked to a six-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch for effortless pulls, and a final-chain drive. The V-Strom 1000's chassis was designed to comfortably take on the twisties, but also has 6.5 inches of ground clearance for those adventurous back roads. The front suspension utilizes a 43mm fork, and the rear a link-type suspension, both providing 6.3 inches of suspensions travel.

The Japanese are celebrating the 35th anniversary of the legendary Suzuki Katana motorcycle, whose appearance on the road still stuns the layman. Back in the day, the Japanese manufacturer relied on the European design studio Target Design to get an innovative motorcycle. Hans Muth, the ex-BMW designer at the time, presented two concepts: a 650cc prototype and a 1100cc version that ended up on the assembly line.

Suzuki Provides Aid Following Chinese Earthquake

Suzuki is providing 10 million yen (US$100,500) in aid to the Red Cross Society to provide support for those affected by the April 20 earthquake in China’s Sichuan province. Suzuki‘s pledge is in addition to 1 million RMB (US$161,000) donated by Chongqing Changan Suzuki Automobile Co., a Suzuki joint venture with China’s Changan Group. The region in southwestern China was hit by a major tremor at about 8 o’clock in the morning, local time.
