Suzuki GSX / Katana tech info
Suzuki GSX / Katana description
Good condition 2003 Suzuki GSX600f Katana for sale. I was using this as my commuter bike, but am 6'5" and wanted something a little more upright. Excellent mechanical condition as I was riding it everyday and maintaining it as such. Just replaced fuel filter, air filter (K&N), and spark plugs as well as oil and filter change. It has the GSX600 engine from the corresponding model year, but with a slightly more comfortable ride making it a very capable and comfortable bike.
At 9,000 miles had brakes flushed and bled and replaced rear brakes, throttle and clutch cables lubed and adjusted, cooling system flushed, installed new chain, and installed new rear tire. This work was professionally done and I have the receipt. This was $1,300 in work that I had done to make sure the bike was in good working condition to be a daily driver, and it is. Compression was checked and is good. CA title is free and clear. Seller responsible for pick-up, but I will make reasonable accommodations for local pickup... i.e. meet you half way if you live in LA. If you need the bike delivered you can pay for shipping or I can arrange to have it delivered for $350 west of Mississippi or $500 east of Mississippi. |

MotoGP Approves “Factory 2″ Rules
Tue, 18 Mar 2014We’re just days away from the start of the 2014 MotoGP season and one would think it’s a little late for series organizers to make any significant rule changes. At least, one would think that if one were unfamiliar with the political back-and-forths going on between the major manufacturers and MotoGP promoter Dorna. But with the season-opening Qatar round about to begin, the Grand Prix Commission approved new rules establishing a compromise between the new Factory and Open options.
Piaggio, Suzuki Hit with Fines by CARB
Mon, 01 Apr 2013The California Air Resources Board has agreed to settlements with Suzuki and Piaggio for selling motorcycles that the companies did not disclose could be modified to exceed the state’s strict emission standards. Suzuki was hit with the larger of the two penalties, agreeing to a fine of $3,020,000, though the amount could be reduced by $1,812,000 if Suzuki follows certain provisions. The penalty is in addition to the previous fine of $885,000 levied by the Environmental Protection Agency for selling 25,396 LT-R450 ATVs and 62 RMX450Z dirtbikes with a racing map programmed into their ECUs that was not certified or tested. This racing map is not initially accessible to customers, unless they buy aftermarket devices to unlock the higher-performance engine mapping.
