Suzuki GS description

This is a 1980 Suzuki GS550E.  It is in pretty good original condition.  It will run, but it runs rough. I consider this to be a project bike, not road ready.  It needs the carbs cleaned and a good tune up as well as a new fuel petcock and fuel lines, and tank cleaned at a minimum.  The electrics all work fine including the electric start.  The bike shifts good through the gears.  The brakes work, but are a little sticky.  The battery is good. The side covers are missing.  This is a nice overall project and it comes with a clean and clear title.

While I have described the bike to the best of my abilities, I am not a professional mechanic.  Therefore, this listing is subject to inadvertent errors and omissions.  I welcome and encourage all prospective buyers to come and check out the bike in person and inspect it prior to bidding.  Please look closely at all the pictures on a desktop computer to best see the condition.  The bike is being sold 'as is' with no warranty or guarantees. By bidding on the bike, you agree that this motorcycle does not come with any warranties, either expressed or implied. The buyer is offered the opportunity to examine the motorcycle in person or by representative if they choose, to ascertain if the condition of said motorcycle meets the buyer's standards. Michael Dunlop won a historic Dainese Superbike race to kick off the 2014 Isle of Man TT week. Riding the S1000RR, Dunlop secured BMW its first win on the Isle of Man since Georg Meier won on a Type 255 Kompressor in 1939. After catching early leader James Hillier of the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team on the opening lap, Dunlop continued to set an impressive first lap time of 17:11.107, which translates to a record average speed of 131.730 mph on the 37.73-mile Mountain Course.
