Suzuki Boulevard description

Ok, so here's the deal--I hit a curb going less than 25mph but it cuased the rim on the front tire to bend (photo'ed). The whole front wheel was pushed up into the front faring, causing the brakes to bend the sheet metal on the front faring (photo'ed). I actually drove the bike home after the accident and for a little while after that. Eventually, the air in the front tire discharged because there was not a seal between the rim and the tire, and that is when I noticed the damage. As far as I can tell, it needs a new or repaired rim to function properly again. The front faring needs to be fixed but that's all cosmetic.

In the interest of full disclosure, the display on the radio controller that is mounted on the front of the bike malfunctions occassionally. The display will go blank, but the buttons still work and control the radio properly. I bought a replacement part, but never installed it. I will, of course, include the part with the bike.

As far as everything with the engine goes, it's runs like a champ. I've kept up with oil changes and basic maintenance. This was my commuter bike, and not a show bike. It's certainly not in perfrect condition with a few dings and scratches throughout, but it's mechnically sound. If you're willing to put even just a little bit of effort into this bike, you'd be getting a really nice motorcycle for super cheap

Isle of Man TT 2012: Sidecar TT Race 1 Results

Mon, 04 Jun 2012

Dave Molyneux won his 15th career Isle of Man TT race with a victory in the first Sure Sidecar TT race of the 2012 festival. The win comes in Molyneux’s return to the Isle of Man TT after sitting out last year’s competition. By far the most successful Sidecar racer in TT history Molyneux is third overall among riders in any class, behind Joey Dunlop (26) and John McGuinness (18).

Surely more wins are on the cards for Seeley and the 2011 Gixer?

Thu, 02 Jun 2011

The amazing Alex Lowes is deservedly grabbing all the attention in the BSB paddock at the moment, but I believe last year’s top Superbike rookie, Alistair Seeley is doing an equally impressive job in the Supersport class. Although he looks ten years younger, thirty one year old Seeley  is riding one of only two 2011 600 GSXRs (fellow countryman Marty Nutt is on the other) in the class. Alistair has finished on the podium four times including a race win at the opening Brand Hatch round and currently lies second in the championship.  He also took victory on the Gixer in the only race run at the North West 200 last month and was looking like the runaway winner last Sunday at Thruxton until electrical gremlins struck after opening up a seven second lead.

AMA Supercross: 2012 Arlington Results

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

Defending champion Ryan Villopoto won his third consecutive AMA Supercross race in Arlington, Texas, but the victory was overshadowed by a season-ending injury suffered by one of his main challengers Chad Reed. TwoTwo Motorsport Honda‘s Reed trailed Villopoto in second place for the first six laps at Cowboys Stadium. Disaster struck on Lap 7 however as Reed crashed hard in the whoops.
