Suzuki Boulevard description

2005 Suzuki Boulevard S50, With this 2005 Suzuki Boulevard S50 (A.K.A. Intruder 800) I will defer to the Suzuki Motor Company for their description. They know a lot more about this cruiser than I do. What I do know is that the S50 was the first purpose built motorcycle from Japan that was designed from the ground up to be ......a Cruiser!. Yamaha Virago fans will dispute this. Feel free to call me with your opinion. I love the frame design and the fact that they had the guts to use a 45 degree V-twin motor. Of course theirs had a few more valves than Harley and had liquid cooling. Also, this Suzuki has a nice padded passengers back rest and a luggage rack. The factory blurb: Looking to get your kicks on the boulevard? You came to the right place. With the Boulevard S50, you get a combination of V-twin power and radical cruiser styling in a lightweight and incredibly agile package. Its dry weight of just 443 pounds and its low, 27.6-inch seat height make the S50 perfect for maneuvering through tight city traffic. When you get out on the highway, its comfortable riding position encourages you to kick back and cruise. What's more, it has a variety of features that enhance its smooth performance, so you'll find yourself racking up the miles in comfort. Like every Boulevard Cruiser, its heart and soul are found in its V-twin power plant, which cranks out an impressive amount of torque for outstanding acceleration. So if you're looking for lean cruiser styling, nimble handling and performance you can count on, you've got it - with the 2005 Boulevard S50. I couldn't have said it better but I add that a call to Internet Dave or Wireless Bob will get you a test ride and a thorough inspection of this clean 2005 Suzuki S50.

Surely more wins are on the cards for Seeley and the 2011 Gixer?

Thu, 02 Jun 2011

The amazing Alex Lowes is deservedly grabbing all the attention in the BSB paddock at the moment, but I believe last year’s top Superbike rookie, Alistair Seeley is doing an equally impressive job in the Supersport class. Although he looks ten years younger, thirty one year old Seeley  is riding one of only two 2011 600 GSXRs (fellow countryman Marty Nutt is on the other) in the class. Alistair has finished on the podium four times including a race win at the opening Brand Hatch round and currently lies second in the championship.  He also took victory on the Gixer in the only race run at the North West 200 last month and was looking like the runaway winner last Sunday at Thruxton until electrical gremlins struck after opening up a seven second lead.

2014 WSBK – Phillip Island Results

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

When he signed with the team, Eugene Laverty said he would give all he possibly could to bring Suzuki back to the top of the podium once again. Well, it sure didn’t take the Northern Irishman long to accomplish that goal, winning the very first race of the 2014 season at Australia’s Phillip Island course. The win was Laverty’s third in a row, including the final two races of the 2013 season when he raced for Aprilia.

Piaggio, Suzuki Hit with Fines by CARB

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

The California Air Resources Board has agreed to settlements with Suzuki and Piaggio for selling motorcycles that the companies did not disclose could be modified to exceed the state’s strict emission standards. Suzuki was hit with the larger of the two penalties, agreeing to a fine of $3,020,000, though the amount could be reduced by $1,812,000 if Suzuki follows certain provisions. The penalty is in addition to the previous fine of $885,000 levied by the Environmental Protection Agency for selling 25,396 LT-R450 ATVs and 62 RMX450Z dirtbikes with a racing map programmed into their ECUs that was not certified or tested. This racing map is not initially accessible to customers, unless they buy aftermarket devices to unlock the higher-performance engine mapping.
