Suzuki Bandit description

1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200 GSF1200S

Very nice sport touring bike package!

  • Only 7,722 miles
  • Very good condition and has always run great.
  • Bike has always been garage kept and always adult owned.
  • Bike never wrecked or layed down.
  • Approx 45 mpg.
  • Regularly maintained.
  • All light, controls and gauges work as they should.
  • Owners manual and toolkit.
  • New battery (last year)

Bike comes with the following accessories:
  • Nice waterproof tank bag with map window and shoulder strap
  • Saddle bags with shoulder straps and waterproof covers
  • Two full-face helmets
  • 1" handlebar risers installed which allows for a more upright riding position. These can easily be removed if desired.
  • Throttle Rocker - use your palm for throttle control. Much easier than cruise control.
  • Brand new Metzeler extra front tire
  • Full-fit storage cover
  • Riding gloves
  • Big foot (for using kickstand in gravel or sand)

Front tire recently replaced (less than 500 miles) and also have an extra new Metzeler front tire. Rear tire has reasonable tread for light riding but will need to be replaced soon.

Very small ding on left side of tank at bottom caused by bump to lawn mower. Shown in picture.

Bike has a clear title.

I really hate to part with the bike but just don't ride much anymore. Will make a great bike for someone. Very nice package.

$500 deposit required upon auction close. Remainder due within 7 days. My payment preference is cash or PayPal. Shipping/transport of the bike is the responsibility of the buyer.

2009-2011 Suzuki GSX-R1000 Recalled for Side Stand Interlock Switch

Fri, 01 Jun 2012

Suzuki is issuing a recall for 2009-2011 GSX-R1000 because of a potential failure of the side stand interlock switch. The interlock switch is what cuts off the ignition circuit on a motorcycle when the side stand is down and the transmission is in any gear except neutral. Its purpose is to prevent a motorcycle from moving with the stand deployed.

Kevin Schwantz Unveils Suzuki GSX-RR At Motegi

Mon, 13 Oct 2014

From a Suzuki press release: The 2015 Suzuki MotoGP GSX-RR was unveiled at today’s Motegi MotoGP race in Japan as 1993 World 500cc GP Champion Kevin Schwantz was joined by 1982 World Champion Franco Uncini for demonstration laps at the Twin Ring circuit. Schwantz, who joined the Suzuki MotoGP test team for its test at Austin in Texas, USA earlier this year, rode the GSX-RR while Uncini demonstrated the GSV-R that last competed in the 2011 MotoGP series. Kevin Schwantz: “I started very carefully as we didn’t start from pit-lane and without tyre warmers, but I soon felt the machine was being very stable and I was able to speed-up.
