Other BRIDGESTONE description

Here for sale is a beautiful Bridgestone Hurricane 175, This bike was a perfect candidate for restoration being a low milage complete motorcycle. It took me over a year to do the restoration work on this bike, with no bolt left untouched! This motorcycle has won awards in our local vintage motorcycle group and is a true head turner everywhere it goes, if you want a motorcycle that draws crowds at events this is the one! The only reason I've decided to part ways with this motorcycle is because since its restoration it has just sat in the garage and collected dust because I haven't had the time to go out and enjoy this beauty as much as it deserves. This Bike is being sold as is with no warranty, Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements but I am able to store the motorcycle for some time if needed.

Mechanically:
This bike runs and rides fantastic with no issues, it has a many new parts to make it as reliable as it was back in the day, Upon restoration of this motorcycle the motor was disassembled and inspected to make sure there were no issues, all bearings and clearances were checked to make sure everything was in its proper place. The Chrome Cylinders were in excellent condition along with the pistons when the cylinders were inspected for any chipping or lose debris, this bike has never had an port work done to it and remains in the original condition. While the engine was disassembled the cases where cleaned to bare aluminum like they where from the factory, along with the silvers outer casings being bead blasted of all there old flaked paint and resprayed with a color match silver. The Carburators have been gone through and cleaned along with new jets, Needle and seats installed. The Oil injection systems has been tested before reassembly to insure it worked and wouldn't burn the motor up upon first start up. The whole electrical system has been gone through and or replaced with OEM pieces. This Bike has had countless hours invested into it to make sure it was reassembled in the correct way to insure the restoration was done correctly.

Paint/Chrome:
This motorcycle has over $2200 worth of chrome plating done to it and only the best was used when everything was being re-chromed, the local plater is Whitworx Chrome and it took over 2 months for the chrome work to be finished alone. Once the chrome work was finished the tank was masked down and bead blasted lightly to rough the area that the paint would adhere to, just to insure that there would be no issues with the paint flaking off at a later date. All of the pieces that did not have chrome and paint on them were bead blasted down to bear metal and repainted to the color match red paint from our local automotive paint supplier. Once the paint was dry and ready for re-installation all new badges where obtained and put back into there original locations on the bike. The Frame, triple tree, swing arm, kickstand, and center stand was also sandblasted down to bear metal and sports a new coat of black to match what it had from the factory.

This Motorcycle has to many new OEM parts to list, the only thing that i can think of that is not originally to the bike is the battery, tires ( front and rear ), and rims. The motorcycle does still use its original key and it works on both the front fork lock and the ignition. If you have any questions about this motorcycle please feel free to contact me and i will answer them as fast as I can. This bike is being sold with a reserve but is much less than what i have in the motorcycle in parts alone. Happy Bidding!
