Norton Commando description

This is a numbers matching bike.  Selling a few excellent vehicles, please see my other auctions

Foreign or low feedback bidders must contact me first,  Thanks   please read all the material here, especially the bottom about imperfections

The mileage listed is based on what the previous owner told me,   about 15,000  it is approximate.  the odometer reads      :1663

Up for sale is my beautiful 1972 Norton Commando cafe racer. this is a high performance COMBAT model with higher compression heads.
The VIN   numbers on the engine, gearbox and frame are matching. (see pics 9&10)

This bike has been well maintained and ridden regularly.  it starts easily.  Rides nicely and has been treated to the best of everything.  It has been completely and mechanically upgraded and needs nothing. The electrical system has been completely rewired with all new components and solid state Boyer electronic ignition, computer, there are NO OLD ELECTRICAL parts anywhere on this bike. The Zener diode has been eliminated

see a video of cold start and walk around bike at:       https://youtu.be/PCfPPx0gK38     or

                                                                                     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCfPPx0gK38

 Complete electrical overhaul including wiring
Complete tune up, valves, fluids, etc
 Ohlins rear shocks
 Rebuilt front forks
Brembo polished front brake set up
Corbin cafe racer seat with soft passenger section  (looks like solo seat, very nice)
New Fibreglass Manx tank  (inside coated to be gas and ethanol resistant) had it over 2 years with no issues
 Lemans style fuel cap
 New Chrome Headlight shell
 Polished  billet  Z plates
 Braided oil hoses
 Braided Rocker lines
 New Brake lever and perch
 Thomaselli headlight brackets
 New cat eye tail light
 John player front fender
New Carbs and cables and hoses
  New petcocks
  New air filter
  New Battery
  New heavy duty center stand
  New coils and wires
  Pipe wrapped headers
  New polished gauges/instruments

Please note,  the paint is good, but not perfect, there are some areas of imperfection on the tank please
see pictures number  5/6   I also have been careful not to spill fuel on the tank, i would advise the same
As with many Nortons, the clutch plates stick when this bike sits, just pull in the clutch, put it in second or 3rd, rock it a few times and it    frees up and works perfectly
there is a hairline crack in the primary chain case (pic 11), this happened many years before i got the bike, it has never been an issue,
There is  minor minor oxidation on a few areas of the wheel rims which can probably be removed if you are gentle.
The kick starter hits the right pipe and has taken some paint off
please note, this is a true cafe racer, it has no turn signals, horn or mirrors, just a headlight and tail light

I welcome inspections in person, this is a Brit bike and shifts on the right side, GP style.

Vehicle is for sale locally, i reserve the right to end this auction at any time.
