Norton All description

I've owned this bike for 6.1/2 years. The previous owner was T. C. Christenson of Sunset Motors in Kenosha, WI (famed for his double Norton engine 'Hogslayer' drag bikes). This is a numbers matching machine. Mileage is believed to be original, but cannot be validated. No expense has been spared in getting this bike to it's current condition. The engine and gearbox were completely rebuilt in 2014 by one of LA's top Norton gurus. The crankshaft was ground and engine balanced, a Megacycle camshaft and new Kibblewhite valves, guides and springs were fitted. The entire gearset was replaced and the layshaft bearing upgraded to 'roller', the primary chain and tensioners were also replaced. It has a two month old Tri-Spark ignition and the starter internals have been upgraded. It was fitted with twin 'modern' Amal Premium Carbs a year ago. Tires are Avon Road Riders front and rear and are both in excellent nearly new condition. I have well in excess of $10K in receipts, all of which will come with the bike. It was last ridden a couple of weeks ago in a rare SoCal rain shower. It was wiped down and dried off. Although cosmetically sound, it's a rider not a museum piece so it rarely gets thoroughly cleaned and polished. You can do that when you get it. The piece of art work with the Union Jack behind the bike was done by a professional photographer friend of mine and does NOT go with the bike.

The bike is sold 'as-is' with no warranty suggested or implied. You can have it shipped anywhere with your arrangements and I will make myself available to a shipper. A $500 PayPal deposit is required within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Balance can be paid with cashiers check, personal check, cash etc. but not PayPal. Funds must show clear & available with my bank before shipping. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the bike is for sale locally. Feel free to ask questions, but please don't ask me for the reserve price.

Note to CA buyers: tags are paid through Nov' 2017.

Production of 650cc Norton models will start at the end of next year

Tue, 17 Nov 2020

In addition to the release of V4 and Commando models, the British plan to expand their lineup. The Norton V4 and Commando motorcycles, presented to the public in 2018, will not start rolling off the assembly line until the end of 2021. This is primarily due to the fact that Norton, owned by the Indian company TVS, is currently busy transferring production from Donnington Hall to Solihull.
