1978 Moto Guzzi SP 1000 Cafe Racer. Only 3300 ORIGINAL miles from new !! It was stored for over 30 years until a restoration was done in 2013. New: carbs, Turozzi controls/cables, Tommaselli rearsets, custom made LED cockpit/gauges, LeMans I fairing. Comes with 2 sets of mufflers, Lafranconi and custom megaphone chrome mufflers, sealed battery, very expensive custom paint on gas tank, side covers and front fender. Cafe Racer LED tail light. Rear shocks are Nolins, not Ohlins. Multiple show winner every time out. Has been stored and covered in my garage for the last year. I start it every week and have fuel stabilizer in the gas tank with premium grade fuel. I do ride it around the block every so often. Battery is on a battery tender - included. Also included is a Shoei Helmet with matching paint. Needs rear brake adjustment, and still has original front and rear dual brake system. Might need a fresh tune up, from being stored, but runs strong. I have all the documentation, title in my name, receipts, the Guzziology Bible, workshop manuals, boxes of spare parts etc.... Piaggio Reports Q2 2013 Results
Fri, 26 Jul 2013The Piaggio Group reported a 12.1% decrease in net sales over the opening six months of 2013, the company’s worst first half showing since 2004. Net sales totaled 671.5 million euros (US$891.9 million) over the first six months, compared to 764.1 million euros reported in the same period of 2012. Piaggio still earned a net profit of 25 million euros (US$33.2 million ) in the first half, but that’s a 26.1% drop from last year’s 33.8 million euros.
Classic Japanese Bikes Highlight Bonhams’ Next Auction
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Bonhams’ annual fall auction, the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, at Stafford County Showground is scheduled for October 20, 2013. Included in the auction is the above pictured 1974 Kawasaki H1-RW 500cc triple. Expected to sell for approximately $96,000 to $112,000, the Japanese works Grand Prix racer is one of only two machines built by the factory for the French Kawasaki importer SIDEMM for use in the 500cc World Championship. The bikes were ridden during the 1974 season by the French endurance racing specialist Christian Léon and French-Canadian Formula 750 star Yvon Duhamel.
“The Meet” Vintage Motorcycle Show This Saturday
Mon, 18 Aug 2014The stage is set for ”The Meet at ACM” motorcycle show this weekend in Tacoma, WA. While festivities will begin on Friday evening, America’s Car Museum (ACM) will host the third annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Organizers expect 450 vintage motorcycles and scooters from all over the nation to attend.
