Moto Guzzi Mille GT description

1990 Mille GT. Rare red. Few Guzzis of this model have less than 25k miles. Never crashed. Adult owned, and ridden responsibly. Slight dress up mods of Ducati-made fairing and Guzzi-made chin cowl can be removed for a more standard look. Black paint on wheels & final-dive case is Plasti-dip plastic paint that can be peeled away if you prefer the look of the stock, authentic Akront rims.

Non-stock items include: Less "swan-neck" bars. Bar-end mirrors. Comfortable, resculpted seat. Oil-temp-gauge dip stick. Handlebar clock. K&N filters. Crash bars. Cylinder head guards.  Drink bottle holder. Sorry, I have none of the replaced original parts.

This Italian bike is a great attention-getting, weekend motorcycle that has treated me well. Starts strong and runs great. Good linked brakes, bled properly (that's important). Shifting and steering are smooth. Bodywork is good and shiny. The fuel tank is a solid 'A' with no dents. Battery is very good. Recent valve job. Tires are virtually new (with new rear gear oil and inner gasket done during rear tire change just to be safe). Recently clutch cable. Stock rubber engine oil lines replaced with the Frentubo metal line kit. Center-stand added (I guess not all Milles came with one). This model has the better, adjustable steering damper. Koni shocks. New fuel petcock valves.

This Guzzi may show slight very signs of patina here and there, but the only issues I know of are: the kill switch doesn't seem to work, and there's a bulb out in the dash lights. Also the right carb seems quirky when on choke and runs very rich, but after a quick warm-up all is well (something may be wrong in the choke circuit that I haven't solved). In pics you'll see I taped over the green neutral light on the dash since almost all old Guzzis indicate false neutral lights so often it's a useless warning light, but if you've read this far you're already aware of Guzzi traits like this. Some paint and trim (and turn signals) are modified from stock - this is a nice "rider" not a museum piece. Feel free to ask questions!

Thanks for bidding, but to those with too much negative feedback, please bid elsewhere.

*Palm Beach County FL local pickup is best. But, if you have a trusted shipping company, I will work with you by being present to take pictures while loading to show the bike in the same condition as in the auction photos (for the protection of both buyer and seller if shipper causes damage). Sending of the title/paperwork with your vehicle shipping company or Via USPS FedEx UPS (or other) will be your choice and I will do as you ask.

At the moment, North American customers usually have to wait a little longer before they receive new Piaggio models, with most models arriving on these shores months after they are available in Europe.
