MV Agusta Ipotesi description

For sale is my 1977 MV Agusta Ipotesi.

I purchased this bike about 6 years ago from a collector in Boston.  Bike was a barn find and has been gone through completely to be a running, riding machine.

Bike was completely pulled apart and all original hardware was used when possible.
Clutch was rebuilt, carbs, new wheel bearings, valve clearance and new chain.

Bike has been fitted with the Magni Brembo brake kit.
Power Dynamo from Germany was also fitted for a first to second kick start.  With this no battery is needed to power the bike.
Period fairing with professional paint.
Frame and wheels have been powder coated.  Tank has original paint.

The bike has some spider webbing in the front fender as well as on the left side near the kickstart.
It also need the chain tensioners.
Indicator lights on the dash are not connected as the plastic is very brittle and wont hold the lights, however all of them do work.

These bikes are very rare.  Only around 1500 were built and they are getting harder and harder to find.  It pains me to part with it but I have ridden it less than 10 times in the time I have owned it and feel it needs to go somewhere where it will be appreciated more than I can give her.

Mileages is in Kilometers.
No Title.  I will provide a Bill of sale.

MV Agusta has revealed two bikes

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

The Italian company MV Agusta decided not to hesitate and to present two models at once: Brutale 800 RR and Brutale 800 Dragster RR. So, the Brutale 800 RR will become a charged version of the Brutale 800, just as the Dragster RR will become a tuned Dragster 800. Each motorcycle from this magnificent four is equipped with an inline three-cylinder engine, but the RR versions will be 15 hp more powerful (140 hp in total) and they will have 5 Nm more torque (86 Nm in total) than their "basic" counterparts.

MV Agusta Rivale 800 Selected Most Beautiful Bike at 2012 EICMA Show

Mon, 19 Nov 2012

The 2013 MV Agusta Rivale 800 has been voted the most beautiful motorcycle of the 2012 EICMA Show in a poll of over 15,000 visitors to the show in Milan, Italy. The Rivale captured 35.5% of the votes to win the honor, well ahead of the new Ducati Hypermotard SP which finished second in the voting at 22.9%. The two new Italian models are direct competitors in the middleweight motard segment, with the now-liquid-cooled 821cc Hypermotard SP facing off against the three-cylinder Rivale 800.

MV Agusta To Manufacture Racing Parts With Help From Yakhnich Motorsport

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

MV Agusta released a rather odd statement today. In it was the announcement that MV Agusta and Yakhnich Motorsport had joined forces to enter the World Superbike and World Supersport championships. Considering the season has already started with the Phillip Island round in Australia, one in which team Supersport rider Jules Cluzel won aboard his F3 675 after two of the leaders crashed out, this “news” doesn’t is a little late.
