MV Agusta Brutale description

2013 MV AGUSTA Brutale 675, With the introduction of the Brutale line, MV Agusta has created the reference point of the large displacement naked category offering a product with a truly unique design and superbike level performance. The incredibly refined mechanical design has been matched with an ultra-technological chassis makes the new Brutale 675 a guaranteed success. An innovative project that is exclusive while at the same time accessible to all passionate motorcyclists with various levels of experience. This motorcycle is capable of satisfying even the most demanding riders as well as those that are new to the sport. From street to track, the MV Agusta Brutale 675 is able to take on any situation in stride and offer the pleasure, excitement and emotions that are typically MV. Light, agile and powerful above and beyond that offered by the competition, the MV Agusta Brutale 675 has a revolutionary engine that is the most advanced in the middle-weight segment. The new in-line three cylinder power plant is derived directly from the F3 and sets new records for compactness and the application of technical solutions only previously seen on MotoGp motorcycles such as advanced electronics with the MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System), a system that integrates the Full Ride By Wire throttle control with integral multi-maps for the engine and traction control. Power output is a staggering 110 horsepower at 12,500 rpm and a torque curve that is more akin to a liter bike rather than a supersport. The chassis, as is the MV Agusta tradition, is without rivals in this category. The frame is a mix of steel tubing and aluminum components that offers a level of rigidity that is destined to make it the reference in its class. At only 163 kilograms dry, the MV Agusta Brutale 675 can satisfy even the most demanding of riders. The extremely light weight coupled with the high power output of the engine will allow the Brutale 675 to accompany new riders from the beginning of their adventure on two wheels all the way to the peak of their riding capabilities.

An Open Letter from Giovanni Castiglioni on his father Claudio and MV Agusta

Thu, 08 Sep 2011

MV Agusta’s Giovanni Castiglioni sent out the following open letter, speaking of his father, the late Claudio Castiglioni, and his battle against illness, as well as how the company will continue along the path Claudio had set. I am writing you this letter to personally thank you for the outpouring of affection that you have demonstrated both towards my father and our family. All of you have come to know Claudio, but I believe that I knew him more intimately than anybody else as he was more than a father to me, he was also my best friend, business partner, reference point and the person whom I could call on at anytime, day or night, to share both good and bad news.

ZAG Racing To Campaign MV Agusta F3 In AMA Supersport

Tue, 02 Apr 2013

Focusing mainly on west coast races this year, ZAG Racing will compete in MWGP, M1GP and WERA rounds that don’t conflict with the AMA schedule. They’ll also develop the bike at various trackdays.

As MV Agusta unveiled its color scheme for the F4RR it will be campaigning in World Superbike this year, the red/silver graphic is a fitting homage to the company’s history, evoking memories of Giacomo Agostini, among others. World Superbike testing began today at Phillip Island, site of the first race of the season. The new season also marks MV Agusta’s return as a factory team to international racing in quite some time.
