New professional paint job with inside of fuel tank rust treated and coated. Carbs have been dismantled cleaned, polished and balanced. Valve clearances checked and at original factory settings with cooling system in excellent condition.

All oils changed including oil filter. Spark plugs changed, new battery fitted recently.

This ZL 1000 is fast, starts with the first push of the starter button then purrs while waiting for the throttle command. The overall condition of this classic thoroughbred supports the extremely low miles.

As this bike is being marketed internationally it has not been registered for NZ roads. If sold in New Zealand the successful buyer can choose to receive the bike with three months registration and current WOF.

** Only 2500 of these classics were made for the USA and European market.

This rare model was rated when new of performing 0-100 km/hr in 2.8 seconds. And was the first time that Kawasaki had built a water cooled in-line four cylinder with a shaft drive.

The gearing, modified camshafts and carburation including Reed valves were designed to achieve a very fast standing start. Mission accomplished.

Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.

The new rules will also mandate 17-inch aluminum wheels.
