Kawasaki Other description

1985 Kawasaki ZL900 Eliminator in excellent condition with low, low miles. For those of you that don't know the history of the ZL900 Eliminator it was only built in 1985 and 1986. This bike was built to compete against the Yamaha Vmax and Honda V65. For those of you who are familiar with these bikes then you know the story. This bike is the nicest ZL900 Eliminator I have ever seen on Ebay, cycle trader, etc in the last 8 years that I have been looking and you probably won't find one any nicer in the country. If you ever wanted to own one of these bikes in this condition with this low of miles then you will want this one, don't let it slip away because you may never find another one of these bikes in this shape. Everywhere I ride someone wants to take a picture of it or wants to know where they can go buy one because they think it's new. I have owned 4 of these over the years and this is by far the nicest Eliminator. I hate to get rid of it and it won't hurt my feelings if it doesn't sell, I just have too many toys and trying to thin my collection out a little. I have owned this bike for years and know the history of it. I am the third owner the way I understand. The original owner died at an early age due to some illness. He willed it to his best friend who stored it in his basement until he came onto hard times, needed some cash and turned loose of it. I bought it from him and it has always been garage kept. This bike has never been laid over. This bike has never been abused in anyway. This bike has never been repainted and this is the original paint. There are no dents or dings in the gas tank or anywhere else for that matter. All side covers have all tabs to secure them and they are not cracked or damaged. The seat has no rips or tears. There is very slight minimal scratches and rust on the bike that is extremely hard to see (keep in mind this bike is almost 32 years old). The bike's paint and hand controls are not faded. Everything works as it should. All parts on the bike are original Kawasaki parts that came on it. This bike is 100% completely stock. The only modification that has been changed was by my mechanic. He replaced the screws on all 4 carburetor bowls so if he every had to take them off again it would be much easier to get to, the screws had a phillips head and they were changed to an allen head, he didn't want to take the whole carburetor assembly off and risk the chance of messing up the paint by removing. He also installed an extra little fuel filter that is hid to help keep the carburetors clean.
The padlock that is on one of the pictures with all the service manuals, etc has No key to it to chain the bike up. There wasn't a key when I bought it and I have never ran across one to buy. Over the years I have collected numerous books, magazines and manuals that come with the bike that are pictured. There are 2 covers for the bike that I will send that are not in any picture, one is for inside storage and the other is for outside storage if you want to protect it from the weather elements. The bike has new tires (less than 300 miles). All fluids have been changed on the bike. New fork seals have been installed. The battery is less than a year old.
The reason the pictures are dated 7/17/16 is because I listed it on EBay back in July. The bike since then has been covered up in my shop so the pictures are unchanged. The only thing that has changed is the speedometer picture, it now has around 5,060 miles now instead of 5,055 in the picture.
This bike runs great and needs nothing but a rider to show it off.
A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction close. Final payment needs to be within 7 days of auction close. Cash or cashier's check will be the only form of payment accepted. This bike will NOT ship until final payment clears the bank, however long that takes. Shipping will be the sole responsibility of the buyer but I will help with making sure the bike gets loaded with special care provided as long as it is picked up on a day I am off work.
This bike is for sale locally so I have the right to end the auction early!
This bike is in great shape (mechanically and cosmetically) with low miles as you can tell from the pictures. This bike will not come cheap and I will hold on to it if it doesn't sell because I know it will be worth more money each year that I still have it plus I am in no hurry to sell.
Mileage may change slightly before auction ends in order to keep battery charged.
The reserve price will NOT be divulged so no need in asking!!
All questions will be answered accordingly.
Good luck and happy bidding!!!

WSBK 2013: Monza Race Report

Mon, 13 May 2013

Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.

AMA Superbike: 2012 Daytona Results

Tue, 20 Mar 2012

Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.
