Kawasaki Other description
I'm selling my 1982 Kawasaki KZ1100 . The bike needs what i believe is carb work. It runs well out on the highway, But Idling you have to have the choke on to keep it running. I bought this bike to restore, But a back injury has changed those plans.. Seat has a small rip, and the seat cover is coming away from the frame. The right front side of the tank has a run in the paint and some light scratches. Front tire is weather checked and should be replace. The latch / lock is missing for the seat. And the turn signal switch doesnt work right but I have another assembly to go along with the bike. Also have a service manual to go along with it. Air ride front and rear. also have the hard bags and fairing for this bike, original color, not the green. Bike seems to run good on the highway , smooth ride and just a pleasure to ride. I just need a smaller bike or maybe no bike at all. has 35,236 miles..may have a few more on this bike..i try and ride around the house alittle bit. Has a newer Battery from sears ..almost $100 right there. any questions I'll do my best to answer...you can call or text 570-594-6922 or just use the message on here. Done my best to describe everything about this bike.

Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Explained in NHTSA Documents
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Earlier this month, we published news about an issue with certain Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators that have been connected to recalls in Canada and Japan from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, with the possibility of it expanding to further models and manufacturers using the same component. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.

Kawasaki Producing 599cc 2013 Ninja ZX-6R for Japanese Racing Homologation
Wed, 31 Oct 2012When Kawasaki announced it was upping the engine displacement for the Ninja ZX-6R to 636cc, the immediate question on many Team Green fans’ minds was what it would mean for the company’s supersport racing efforts. Kenan Sofuloglu won the 2012 World Supersport Championship on a Kawasaki ZX-6R, but under the regulations, he may not be allowed to defend his title next season on the 2013 model as homologation requirements in Supersport racing series limit Inline-Fours to displacements smaller than 600cc. Fear not however, as Kawasaki will be producing a special version of the ZX-6R with an engine displacement of 599cc, the same as the 2012 version.
