AMA Supercross: 2012 Toronto Results

Ryan Villopoto moved one step closer to repeating as AMA Supercross Champion with his seventh win of the season at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada. With his chief rivals not making the trip north of the border due to various injuries, Villopoto can clinch the 2012 championship as soon as next weekend’s race at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, if they continue to be out of action. 2013 Kawasaki Z800 Announced but US Availability Unlikely

Kawasaki announced it will produce a new mid-sized naked streetfigther: the Z800. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look likely the Z800 will be imported to the U.S., but we’ll have to wait for an official word from Kawasaki. The 2013 Kawasaki Z800 is powered by an 806cc inline-four engine with styling inspired by its larger sibling, the Z1000.

Results From Day 1 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island

Eugene Laverty, aboard his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, led the field today as the first day of World Superbike testing got underway at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, site of the first race of the 2014 season. Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.
