1980 Kawasaki KZ1300 Touring light project. Clean and clear title, ready to transfer. Has not been on the road in several years but is in very good original condition. Original paint in rare blue looks great. 3,727 miles on the speedo but title says exempt so actual mileage can not be verified. Bike will start for a second with a good battery with choke on but will not stay running. Will probably need carbs cleaned and a tune up at the least. All electrical works, electric start, lights, signals, etc. Front and rear brakes are in working order. Throttle moves free and snaps back. Solid original exhaust. Shifts thru all gears. Tires hold air but have some weather checking. Key was lost over the years but all locks are unlocked and ignition works with any key. Good solid, all original project. South West Motorcycle Show 2010, August 28th & 29th
Tue, 17 Aug 2010Need something to do on August Bank Holiday weekend, then read below: "Although the South West Motorcycle Show has been running at the Westpoint Arena for the last sixteen years, 2010 is the first year that the show hosts the all-new Vertical Trix European Stunt Championship. The show contains all the usual attractions that have been delivered to motorcyclists from over the south-west and further afield since 1994 – including all the appropriate trade stands, and with strong support from local dealers – plus attractions such a a dyno on site, restaurant, bar, bike displays, live music and of course the live action arena. Although the action in the show arena has previously been stunt displays, rather than a full-on competition.
Kawasaki Ninja Nights Revving Up for Laguna Seca SBK
Tue, 24 Jun 2014With Tom Sykes and his Kawasaki Ninja ZX–10R holding a comfortable lead in his title defense of the World Superbike Championship and Loris Baz standing in third place aboard his ZX–10R, you might expect that Kawasaki would have some important plans for celebrating 30 years of Ninjas during the 2014 SBK season. And you’d be right. Following much of the same format as its successful Bike Nite in the Daylight Show, Team Green has joined forces with Two Brothers Racing to bring Kawasaki Ninja Nights 2014 to Laguna Seca on July 12th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.
Kawasaki Celebrates 40th Anniversary of KX – Video
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Kawasaki is marking the 40th anniversary of its KX dirt bike lineup with a special web page and a new documentary (look for Part 1 below). The KX legacy began in 1974 with the KX250 which was based on the works machine ridden by AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Jimmy Weinert in 1973. The KX Dirt Domination page highlights the successes of the KX line over the last 40 years, including its astounding run in AMA Supercross and Motocross over the last decade.
