Kawasaki Other description

Up for bid, from the estate of a motorcycle enthusiast, is a 1975 Kawasaki KZ900 that is a throwback to the 70's. Has a 4 into 1 header, racing style windshield, adjustable steering damper,  K&N air filters ,chrome chain guard,  new battery, chrome engine cylinder covers,  knurled racing style foot pegs and a laced 16" rear wheel. This bike was part of a collection and has not been rode much by this owner.  Carbs,  were removed and cleaned and the gas tank was flushed. After all was cleaned and battery installed,  bike started right up. Also with this bike comes a complete MRE air shifter.(has actuator on shifter, shift button and gauge on left handlebar,  air tank and air actuating valve)  Test  rode the bike only a couple miles but never put air in the shift bottle. (I really believe shift system might work). Do not know if engine has a kit but can tell you engine  is quiet, no leaks and runs strong for a motorcycle with 66,00 miles on odometer. Please note side covers have 1000 emblems but  believe it is be a 900  This is pick up only. Only the 48 states bid.  Reserve is low as it has to go.     Thanks

Snowjob

Sun, 05 Feb 2012

Is the current weather causing your commute a bit of problem? Sounds like a job for the Snowjob. Pictured here using a Kawasaki, the Snowjob conversion system turns your motorcycle into a jumping, wheelieing snowcycle in less than four hours. Derek Hine designed the Snowjob back in '73, but it looks like it could be just as handy today.

Webb Wins Salt Lake City EnduroCross

Mon, 13 Oct 2014

From an EnduroCross press release: Factory Beta and Stillwell Performance-backed Cody Webb took a decisive win tonight in Salt Lake City’s inaugural AMA GEICO EnduroCross event. The win was Webb’s second after taking the first round victory in Las Vegas and puts him and his Beta two-stroke 300 into the points lead. The race fans in attendance at the Energy Solutions Arena saw a night go almost perfectly for GEICO-supported Webb.

ZX-10R inspired by JPS Lotus?

Tue, 10 Jul 2012

Spotted on Kawasaki's Facebook page, this 'Limited Edition' ZX-10R has been created by none other than double-F1 World Champ Emerson Fittipaldi, who is - amongst other things - a Kawasaki dealer in Brazil and who also happened to win his first World Championship in 1972 in a JPS Lotus that had a very similar colour scheme. Fittipaldi started his motorsport career on a motorcycle, aged just 14, before heading to hydrofoils (surely no-one else at world level has ever raced these?!) and then the more traditional route of karting. Question is: what do you think to the paintjob?
