A trade-in, this ZX14 rides good and runs like crazy! (From the factory they were capable of accelerating from 060 mph in 2.5 seconds, with a top speed - electronically limited - to 186 mph.) Fri, 10 Aug 2012Stuart Easton has been the sole hope for Scotland in BSB since his friend and mentor Steve Hislop left us nearly ten years ago. Rat boy, as he’s known to friends, shone in the 125 and Supersport class and until his horrendous crash at the North West 200 last year was a serious contender for the 2011 BSB title. Many (including himself) thought his career may have been over but he astounded everyone by climbing back on the podium just a few rounds into the 2012 season.
WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.
FIM Releases New WSBK Rules – Updates Include Pitstops, Weight Limits and Headlight Decals
Wed, 17 Oct 2012The International Motorcycling Federation and the Superbike Racing Commission released a number of amendments to the 2013 World Superbike Championship rulebook including pitstops, fake headlights and a revised starting grid alignment. We’ve already seen the fake headlights with Kawasaki getting a jump on the new regulation earlier this season with headlight decals on Tom Sykes‘ and Loris Baz‘s ZX-10R. Starting in 2013, all superbikes will have fake headlights to resemble their homologated production models.
