Kawasaki KZ650 description

PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING.

Up for bid is a pretty nice 1979 Kawasaki KZ650. I believe it is a "C" model (Title says KZ650C). It has been sitting for 2 years and currently does not run from sitting. It kicks over and the engine has good compression. I imagine that a good tune up, fresh gas and a battery and it will fire up. Like I said, been sitting for a couple years without being started so you may have to tinker a bit. Motors on these are pretty bullet proof and easy to work on. The bike is in pretty good condition but does have a few bumps and bruises as you might imagine. The tank is pretty clean inside but does have a small dent in the side. The chrome is pretty good with minor blemishes and a little rust in the corners which will probably come right off with a little polishing. The front tire looks pretty good but the rear will need replaced in the near future. The seat has a tear in the side but I have a brand new seat cover for it that I never put on. I will throw that in with the deal. When last running the lights and turn signals all worked with no problems. Chrome on the fenders looks good with a bright shine. Grips are worn on the ends but function properly. All the rubber on the pegs and levers are nice yet. I have one original key and a clear Ohio title. I will not ship the bike but if the new owner would like to have it shipped it will be handled completely by you. I will agree to open the door for a shipper if that is what you choose. A $250 dollar NON-REFUNDABLE Paypal deposit will be required within 24 hours of the auction end. The remainder will be due in cash at the time of pick-up. I will not release the bike unless fully paid for. THE BIKE WILL NEED TO BE PICKED UP BY SEPTEMBER 1, 2016 OR IT WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL I AM AVAILABLE AFTER SEPTEMBER 8th. There is no warranty or guarantee on the bike as you might imagine considering the age. These vintage Kawasaki bikes seem to be climbing in value every day! Here's your chance to get one!!!!

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
