Kawasaki KZ1000A description

The 1977 Kawasaki K1000 was the powerhouse of it's time. It was the "King of Superbikes!"  With factory quarter mile times in the low 12 second range, the KZ's enjoyed many years of straight line domination on the street. Old Kaws Never Die! Long-time owners just get too old to ride them.

This bike runs smooth and fast. This is a turn-key bike. Touch the start button or kick start one time and this bike comes to life. The engine idles properly and responds to the throttle as it should. There are no oil leaks and no abnormal sounds. The transmission shifts properly and clutch is smooth and strong. This bike needs absolutely nothing. Everything works on this bike, has brand new tires, battery and it is ready to ride.

Look closely at the pictures and notice the custom black paint, LTD tank, side covers, and handlebars. A new LTD gel-seat for long distant comfort plus EZ on/off windshield. The front forks are extended 6". This KZ has been well maintained, kept inside out of the weather. Could make a great show bike or fun rider! Hate to sell my baby! :-(

The Hagerty retail value for this bike in AVERAGE condition is currently $5,500; Condition #1 is $8,500. You do the research!

Don't hesitate to ask questions if you need any additional information. If you are not willing to buy, PLEASE do not place the bid!

Fri, 13 Jul 2012

Emerson Fittipaldi is probably best known for his four-wheel racing career which include two Formula One World Championships, a CART racing title and two Indy 500 victories. What might be less known, at least outside of his native Brazil perhaps, is Fittipaldi owns a pair of Kawasaki motorcycle dealerships. The 65-year-old former racer and his team has produced a limited edition run of 50 Kawasaki ZX-10R sportbikes in the black and gold colors of his 1972 F1 Championship-winning John Player Lotus 72 car.
