This bike is all original, except: the seat and handlebars. It has never been wrecked and has no dents. It still has points in the ignition. In the last two years, it has had: new Dunlap tires and brake pads, front and rear; both master cylinders have been flushed; new 630 chain and front and rear sprockets; new seat cover; new battery; new carburetor cylinder boots. Fresh oil and filter. Mag wheels and Kerker Megaphone Header came on this bike in 1978. Everything works, and it starts right up. It idles fine. Runs and sounds great. It does have slight scratches and there is some small pitting in the chrome. There is a little surface rust. There are a couple of paint chips on the side cover. All of this is really minor. This bike is 38-years-old, but you won't be disappointed in this Kaw! It needs nothing; it's ready to ride. I still ride it every now and then, so it may have a few more miles on it before it's sold. KTM 690 Duke Replaces Kawasaki Ninja 250R for WSBK’s 2012 European Junior Cup
Fri, 20 Jan 2012The World Superbike Championship‘s European Junior Cup youth racing series will switch to race-prepped KTM 690 Duke motorcycles for 2012 from the Kawasaki Ninja 250R racebikes used in its inaugural 2011 season. The rebranded KTM European Junior Cup will be open to riders 14-19 and will be held at eight WSBK rounds in 2012. The series was conceived as an entry point for young racers, providing them opportunities to develop their skills before moving up to higher classes such as the World Superstock Championship and beyond.

Hayes Wins 2012 AMA Superbike Championship with Record 14th Win
Tue, 25 Sep 2012Monster Energy Graves Yamaha‘s Josh Hayes has clinched his third consecutive AMA Superbike title with his record 14th win of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The win in the second race of the Miami round was the 31st of Hayes’ career. It followed a rare misstep in Race One which saw Hayes crashing after clipping a curb on the third lap.
