Up for sale is my 2003 Kawasaki KX 60 dirt bike. This KX 60 is in like new condition. I purchased this dirt bike brand new in 2011 for my wife. She rode the bike around our back yard a few times in preparation in thinking she was going to learn how to ride a street bike and get her motorcycle M class license. After seeing that learning to ride was a little more difficult than riding a bicycle, she was no longer interested in learning to ride. After this, my son learned how to ride and is now 15 years old and has out grown this awesome little dirt bike.
As you can see by the photos, the bike is in incredible condition. Maintenance and oil changes have been completed every spring, even though the bike has been ridden very little. You will not be disappointed with this motorcycle. Bike runs as new, and starts on 1st or 2nd kick every time. This bike would make someone VERY happy as a Christmas present, I promise you that! As my son has out grown this beautiful little machine, it is now just sitting in the garage and taking up space. We are hoping that someone else can use and love this machine as much as we have, and have as much fun as we have had with it. If you live in the area, you are welcome to come and look at the bike anytime. I will not ship the bike, but will be happy to assist with shipping arrangements made by and paid for by the buyer. Please ask any questions you may have prior to bidding. There is one small scratch on the rear fender as you can see in the photo. I also have a brand new, still in the packages, full set of plastics (front fender, rear fender, side plates, radiator shroud and new stickers) for the bike at an additional cost, if you are interested. Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season
Wed, 04 Dec 2013More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.
WSBK: 2012 Monza Results
Mon, 07 May 2012It was supposed to be a weekend of celebration. The World Superbike Championship was celebrating its 25th anniversary of racing at Italy’s Monza circuit. Promoters Infront Motorsports brought out 30 landmark Superbikes from the series’ history, while greats such as Fred Merkel, Doug Polen and Carl Fogarty were in attendance for what was supposed to be a weekend to remember.
WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
