Kawasaki KX description

1975 Kawasaki KX 250 MX. This was a time capsule bike I got from the midwest a few years ago. Had original tires on it when I got it. Its in great condition. Runs and shifts very strong. Very fast and handles well. Still has kickstand, that rubber boot for the carb top that's always thrown away, original bars, kill switch, seat / seat cover and so on. Tank professionally painted and clear coated (decals under the clear as they should be). Recent Nightmare Racing plastic. Since acquiring I've done the RaceTech gold valve cartridge emulator conversion to the forks plus installed new RaceTech fork springs (180-200-lb rider). Installed dual rate NJB MX shocks (not show all but one picture). New expansion chamber. New Bridgestone tires. Brand new Mikuni carb (not in most the pictures but still have the original). Have "raced" it only for a few laps. Have not ridden in a couple years. Kid's orthodontist bills motivates sale. Not desperate to sell. Video link below. Serious inquires only. Bill of sale - not title - (eBay would not let "no title" be entered as a selection).

2014 AMA Supercross – Phoenix Results

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto nabbed a hard-earned first victory of the 2014 AMA Supercross season, overcoming a poor start that saw him ninth after the first lap for the win. The three-time reigning champion found himself well back after the first corner as Yoshimura Suzuki‘s Jake Moss took the holeshot ahead of Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton and the KTM‘s Ryan Dungey. Brayton took over the lead by the second corner and would stay in front for the first 13 laps.

2013 AMA Supercross Anaheim 2 Race Report

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Ryan Villopoto claimed his first win of the 2013 AMA Supercross season and his first since the knee injury at last year’s Seattle round that kept him out of the 2012 AMA Motocross championship. The victory in front of 37,789 fans at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., made up for his disappointing 16th place finish two weeks earlier at the same site. His Monster Energy Kawasaki teammate Jake Weimer held the early advantage in the main event, taking the holeshot ahead of the Honda Muscle Milk duo of Justin Barcia and Trey Canard.

EICMA 2011: Kawasaki Versys 1000 Not Coming to U.S.

Wed, 09 Nov 2011

While Kawasaki unveiled its Versys 1000 at EICMA, don’t expect to see it on American roadways any time soon (edit: but if you live north of the border in Canada you’re in luck, as it will offered for CN$13,999, a bit higher than the Z1000 but the same price as the Ninja 1000): What will we be missing? A bigger, badder version of the original Kawasaki Versys seems to be the answer. “Created as the long-awaited big brother of Kawasaki’s mid-size any-road street surfer, the new Versys 1000 is designed to enable the greatest riding enjoyment in the widest variety of street riding situations,” Kawasaki Motors Europe says in a release.
