Kawasaki S/C small tire drag bike. 70" wheelbase. 1428cc engine with KZ1000 head. Oversized intake valves. Shim-under buckets. Web-cams .460/.480. V&H sidewinder with spigots. 40mm Lectrons. Back-cut transmission. Air/air shifter. MSD MC-1 ignition, shift light. Shift light module is a 9K. Two step is set at 6.6K.  Welded MKII crank. Wiseco pistons. 12.5 to 1. CCR wheels. Fork stabilizer and brace. 33mm tubes with billet triple tree. MRE on-board air tank. Gremica brake calipers front and rear. Gremica rear brake master cylinder.  MRE single stage lockup. Single clubfoot swingarm. 5/8" offset front sprocket, 16 tooth. Rear sprocket 42 teeth. 630 chain. This is a very nice bike front to back. Comes with starter cart, remote starter and batteries. Of course a wheelie bar. Very nice paint. Beasley '84-'86 Ninja body and fairing, in great shape with no cracks. Comes as you see it.  Look at the pictures closely before bidding.  Local pickup is available, but it will be cash in hand.  Don't hesitate to ask questions or for more pictures. If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.

Sykes Staying with Kawasaki Through 2016 WSBK Season

Reigning World Superbike Champion Tom Sykes has signed a contract extension with Kawasaki to see him continue to ride for Team Green through the 2016 season. Sykes, who currently holds a 44-point lead over Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli with three rounds remaining in the season, has been with Kawasaki since 2010. Since hopping on board the Ninja ZX-10R superbike, Sykes has won 22 WSBK races and holds a record for 23 Superpoles in the current qualifying format.
