Kawasaki A tech info
Kawasaki A description
This a 1977 kz 1000 with , I believe , 1981 ltd tank, tail and side covers . It runs and rides very nice for a 40 year old machine . I have owned it for nearly 20 yrs. and have put roughly10k miles on it. The engine was rebuilt in 1996 and the following was done to it . 1015 wiseco pistons , new heavy duty cam chain , new ss valves with heavy duty springs and cam bearings . Recently , with in the last 5 years the following was repaced , alternator , rectifier /regulator , dyna s coils and crank trigger , carb boots and fasteners , carbs were rebuilt as well . A relay ass. was installed to bypass the old coil wires and there for the coils are getting battery voltage of 14 or so . replace the spockets and drive chain along with the tires . The ignition switches work as they should .I did replace the head lamp bulb (55) watts with a 1156 to conserve current and can be easily replaced . All the lights and turn signals work as they should with the exception of the head lamp mention earlier . The horn also works as well . I like to keep race gas in the tank and at least start it once a month or turn the petcock on to keep the carbs full . It is idling around 1500 , so the carbs may need a little tweaking . I have also rebuilt the master cylinders with nos parts and it has new pads on all 3 of the calipers .

Mon, 13 May 2013Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium.
